cute! i'm trying to learn how to burp my 9 day old. i obviously seem not to be patting long enough :) problem is she's usually milk drunk so it's hard to just keep her upright :)

Just make sure you hole their head up under the neck and don't give up till they burp. Also try laying a recieving blanket on your shoulder and try it that way. Over the leg works too. The pressure on the stomach and patting the back usually always works.

Here's a usefull trick: hold you baby under the bum and neck and bounce him up and down 5 times before burping. This helps the air bubbles come up and my little girl always burps within 20 pats to the back!
