  • 02:12 Mr. Popo's grandfather

  • Man, I love the music in level 2 on Double Dragon 2. That's a cool tune.

You know I never noticed it, but Double Dragon 1 was the hardest of them all. Three I could beat without a problem once I got used to it...

  • hey thatts me playin.. i was good at double dragon 2

  • Join to my hamachi server! "Nintendo NES" password: nintendo

  • 12:00 LOL :D

  • Good speed run mate, but I gotta say the third game sucked... not on your part but the fact that they changed up the game way too much

  • Part one taught me that violence is rewarded with sex.

  • You are a great DD player!!

    Congratulations :)

  • My older brother used to play DD3 with my older sister on 2-player B so he could kill her in the first scene so he could use Billy and Jimmy the whole game

  • !!!!! WHOA! HIT A BITCH!!!!!!! :O

  • That was funny "She Awoke Unharmed" Yea! After a brutal kick in the ass!

  • Dude you suck

  • This game taught me at a very early age that cardboard boxes are made of steel.

  • 1 hour video!! How did u upload thatO_o

  • @darlfather This was two years ago, long before that stupid-ass video limit was put up. Of course now, if you apply for the ability to post longer than 15 minutes and do some cartwheels while singing Lolipop, you can.

  • 4:17 greatest moment in Double Dragon history.

  • I wish we could hadouken on DD2 just like our shadows

  • I can't believe my Double Dragon NES cart still works, I've had it for like 10 years, then I sold my NES but kept the game, and I pulled it out like a few months ago after buying a new one and it still works perfectly. And that was after being in various junk drawers over the last decade. I swear the government should just store all their most important files on Nintendo cartridges.

  • Lol incredible hulk @ 9:40

  • longest game on outube or somethin :P

  • they just don't make video games like they used to.

  • Man, I forgot how unforgiving the first game was. No Mighty Knee Corpse Launcher to cheese things with.

  • That knee attack on DD2 was KILLER, I had this ascii pad controller, that would do the knee kick on demand it was AWESOME!

  • @55:56 you wouldn't believe how many times that happend to me

  • the suspense in double dragon is killing me lol

  • i hated double dragon but loved double dragon 2

  • A++ man this and dragon warrior are my favorate, i play my nes all day long lol

  • beat II and return of double dragon II.

Double Dragon II was the best. i mean come on a freaking knee blast. woo. and the spinning kick.

return of the double dragon was gay.

  • I never beat any of the Double Dragon games. Lord knows I tried. Some of the old NES games are the hardest games ever made. Like Ghosts 'N Goblins... fugghedaboutit.

  • The Japan level and Italy level in Double Dragon III were my favorites themes in the third game.

  • 12:05 Its the kool aid man on drugs lol

  • the two spike deaths on double dragon II brought me back to some bad memories...

  • 6:30 it always made me lol. Like, really, two huge shirtless guys bursting out of a solid rock wall?

  • 11:59.. your little comment about the green abobo really cracked me up!

  • You could get all the upgraded moves in DD1 by hitting the first few guys over and over but not killing them.

  • @gringolazlo this is a speed run so he didn't have time to power-up

  • there's nothing more satisfying in 2 than giving your friend a flying knee

  • When you beat double dragon 1, that kitty at the end didn't look too impressed.

  • most i hate is round 2 boss cuz they are fast and use throw.

  • I always thought the 2nd to last guy at the very end of DD1 was the hardest and coolest.

  • The beginning of stage 4 in DD1 is so cheap. I used to (still do) hate that part.

Also, LOL at Billy looking like he's got one arm when he walks in DD2. DD2 on the NES was awesome.

  • LMAO at the sad Abobo! I bet they didn't even give him a magazine...or a sandwich.

  • chin has the vertical leap of a snapping turtle.

  • lol the flying knees in dd2 i wish mine did that shit.

  • Really,there are no speedruns,just run...runs.

The only way you can slow down is if you just mess around in the"Go!Go!"screens.

  • Well, they skipped all the cutscenes and stuff.

  • chin is awesome

  • U BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF A LADY at the end...COOL!

  • Ranzou is the shit.

  • hell yah!!!

  • i like how this isn't TAS THANK YOU!

  • they should bring dis back lol dis was a fun game

  • They released a great double dragon game for gameboy advance, you should really check it out. and there's a rumor of a new one being made for zeebo, a brazilian console that is being made.

  • amazing run one question are u from brazil just asking because of the "foda" on your user name lol

  • Yeah, RJ

  • I love the first DD, The second was better.

  • the music on one stage is the same as metal gear

  • are you crazy lol

  • I appreciate your attention to background music, but I don't follow. I wouldn't have made that comparison, thank you for sharing anyway

  • wtf?? what are u saying??

  • wow the song from dd3 just out of the dojo sounds like donkey kong country 3's rockface rumble song!! it's spooky!!

  • Do the game creator hate punk people 0_o ?

  • Who doesn't?

  • I think it was more of an action movie kinda vibe, knowing it was the late-1980s & all. 1990 would cover it in the same for DD3.

You never get good gaming like this anymore. And DD1-DD3 was proof of it.

Super DD...not as much, aside from DD5, which I know was more hokey & cartoony in some ways, even though they did have an animated series in syndication during that time.

But yeah, as I was saying...8-BIT DD was where it's at. More realistic & more bang for your buck. Gotta love 1987-1990. =]

  • Rofl. I still play the first DD on the NES xD love it

  • wow i already just posted that comment lol

  • not sure, I think it's because I'm a director

  • Actually, being a Director has nothing to do with it, it's the fact you joined two years ago and your videos haven't been affected by the "Newbies can't post videos longer than 10 minutes" rule.

  • how do you get a video to be 1 hour and posted on yotuube??

  • i love misson 4 its rock the music is kinda pimpish

  • whoa youtube let you post a 1 hour video? how do you get permission to do that? nice speedruns i liked it!

  • bimmy ...lol

  • One of the best games of all time. Its still good after all the years

  • how do u do the jumping knee in dd 2?

  • hold a direction and press A+B while on your knees (crouched)

  • I loved Double Dragon, but hated the difficulty curve. Everything was cake until mission 4.

  • I love Double Dragon in the Arcade and NES, but I was happy that then NES (looking back) added more moves to Billy and Jimmy's arsenal.

  • I had to laugh about Chin being just looped from the building :-P

    That's a real blast-off with the knee-attack in DD2 :-)

Just a waste of Ranzou in the last level, but ok :-) Respect for managing this in only 1 hour!

By the way: I spoke to that Abobo you left in DD1. He's, like, almost starved to death now.

  • In Double Dragon, I didn't even know you could punch people on the ground... After all these years!

  • Great post man this brings back a lot of memories.

  • DD2 had the best moves

  • jeez, i got this game when i was like 4 for christmas or something. then i got DD2, which is the best in my opinion, on a random day for something which i don't remember. The best games on the NES, next to mega man. Just what i think though. Oh and Ninja Gaiden!

  • fuck yeah and ninja turtles 1 and 2

  • dont forget contra was a beast too !!

  • oh remember River City Ransom ^_^ Me and my brother rocked that game's world back in like 4th grade :-P

  • lol chucked Chin's ass off the top of the building. Classic

  • Practising LoL

  • You can tell he's not cheating because he's actually getting hit.

  • ive played this game and of the three its the hardest, in my opinion. double dragon 3 beeing just ridiculous.this guy has my respect as a gamer unlike the other guys who go right through it without being hit once. c'mon!

  • wow i loved the DDs as a kid. Never could beat any of them but you went through it like it was nothing. Youre amazing

  • i dont know how to do those combos i always died cuz i didnt know the combos!!! )(>

  • What combo?

  • i could beat dd2 and 3 for nes

but dd1 i only played the sms version, and no matter how hard i try, i always die on stage 4 (?) its the stage with little blocks in the walls that come out and the bottom has spikes. me and my friend never pass that stage ever.

  • Heh, when I was younger and first played this, I thought the heart gauge was my actual hp (because they were hearts, you know?) and the actal hp bar was a timer...scared me to death when I started getting hit and seeing the 'timer' go down rapidly....

  • I scoffed when you pulled the cheap platform death on Hulk Abobo at around 9:40. Though, I gotta admit, trying to kill him the normal way is HARD. Why can't they give you another dimension to dodge in?

I laughed when Billy got BRICK'D to death shortly after, though. Poor neglected Kool-Aid Abobo.

To this day, I don't think I've ever beaten Double Dragon 1. Always because of the BS moments in Stage 3...

  • I haven't seen these images since I was a kid. I remember the first DD was sold out and I was looking everywhere for it. Brought me back to the care free times. Thanks

  • You are a video gaming God. I bow down to you good Sir.

  • Nice one foda,

Ps this is yoda form AOK.

Good to see your keeping up with gaming :D

  • Heeeey man :D sup! I'll never stop gaming hehehe

  • Great speed run, I also loved on DD2 how you could beat up good ol California Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger up

  • Thank you so much for this, I have always wanted to see how dd 1 ended. The furthest I ever got was the start of mission 4 but then sadly got f'ed in the a by those brick things

  • Also, great job! I always used to go down the ladders to kill the level 2 boss, didn't think to just throw him off!

  • The NES DD2 is much better than the arcade - that was just a lazy copy of the original with different enemies. Heck, they even used the same level layouts, just with different graphics. =P

  • Simply amazing, I've still got to beat the arcade version, good thing it just came out on live

  • oh yeah lol, stupid hanzou running almost ruined the run... i'm glad i could finish it even without him.

you can see at 54:00 that he starts running and that was unintentional too, and i almost had a heart attack.

  • Oh whoops! At 55:55 haha.

  • rofl

    i let this poor big-one in DD1 standing alone .. another 1000 years .. to funny^^

    ..i hope i can see more than DD1 .. i'm loading about 1 hour to get ca. 15 - 20 minutes :( bad deal.

  • interesting

  • I really enjoyed watching this. Great job. :)

If I recall, the original arcade DD1 didn't have leveling up. Thus I actually prefered the NES version, as I felt it added depth.

Never actually played the other 2 DD games on the NES. Nice to finally see them.

    Thanks for the vid, dude.

  • Excelente FODA! Meus sinceros parabéns! Mas tenho minhas reclamações. Graças a voce vou chegar atrasado amanhã no trabalho huiahauihauihaiu! Próxima Trilogia: Ninja Gaiden!!! Um abraço!

  • thanks :) it's more of a trophy for personal achievement, since watching beat-em-ups is not THAT fun, unless you are mentally playing along with it.

  • Just finished watching it. Good job FODA!
