that's because it was ment to be the end result for a tutorial. The tutorial itself would be plain old html, but it's kinda on hold. I have a few other projects which have a lot more priority, sorry.
You can use most of the BSOD introduction to character animation to get him to walk. It's even a little easier since instead of finicking around to get the foot to look like it "rolled" you can just keep the foot on the floor and just "roll" the heelbone.

squash and stretch will be in my new rig, MTI_stickman. working on it right now.
Little_fella was not designed for that feature.
