Great actor, I like him, but completely wrong mould for the Punisher, in every way.
You know what, after the whole spider-man and avengers thing gets done, maybe after they do the deadpool movie, they could do a crossover. Deadpool and Bullseye breaking into the helibase, slaughter hundreds of agents That Were Two Days From Retirement, kick Cap in the nuts, load Hulk with antidepressants, permanent marker facial hair on Iron Man, and then telling Thor how silly he alks, and a final battle where Deadpool qoutes Pulp Fiction until Nick Fury arrests bullseye and get rid of Wade
oh almost forgot, i think black widow was perfectly played by scar jo based on the way that person wrote the character in iron man 2, and it seemed as if they wrote it for her in her element. I also think that maybe she is using an american accent so the russian comes into play later, joss is a comicbook nerd & maybe he can make the role alittle bit better & answer questions that were missing in iron man 2. He has friends who fight at his side but HE is still in charge. Tony Stark ADMITS he isn't a team player. He does what he wants. Some of these things I've pondered myself, such as Black Widow's accent. Frankly I think that was regrettable but I think this was due in part because she was introduced in a film where the villain was Ivan Vanko. Audiences often tend to link characters with noticed accents together and obviously you couldn't have movie goers getting distracted as their subconscious minds tried to work out the (Non-existent) connection between Natalia and Ivan Vanko. As to the trailer itself...

The problem I had with this trailer was that it didnt really blow me away...I wasnt interested in it as much as I was with Captain America, I dont think that it will be a bad movie by any means. Hope it surprises me as much as Captain America did in the sense that I didnt expect much from Chris Evans, but he blew me away.

At least Lou Ferigno is still voicing him, and I really want the Hulk himself to speak, instead of just roars. Also, they better have him say Hulk Smash again. Anyway, as long as there's a Hulk fight, everything will be ok.

There's nothing wrong with colorful superheroes. Also the real reason Ed Norton isn't in the movie is because he demanded more money than everyone else and was being a pain in the ass to work with. In other words, he became another Terrence Howard. Yeah, he owned the role of Bruce Banner, but for the love of god, I am so sick of people whining that he's not in it.
Put it this way, Nolans Batman is ending and if the Avengers is a success it will mean Marvel can move ahead with other projects like Guardians Of The Galaxy or The Inhumans. If I were to compare Marvel and DC movies like a tree it would go like this.
DC has only one strong branch growing (Batman), while Marvel has a bunch of strong branches growing (Thor, Cap, Ironman and others) along side of each other. I mean sure DC is ahead of the game in the animation department but that's it.
I myself am a DC guy as well but even I have to admit that Marvel is ahead of the game here. The only successful DC movies in recent years have been Nolans Batman, Watchmen was very mixed, Jonah Hex was total failure and this year Green Lantern was a flop. I mean DC only has Man Of Steel slated for 2013 which can go be fail or a success depending of how good the story is.

Let me see if i understand this. Loki who was handled by Thor and only Thor in the Thor film, is up against all those other powerful characters, and its expected to an element of realism?
I also think the colors are fine. This isn't supposed to be a dark, gritty story like Batman is. The Avengers aren't some secret black ops group that operate at night most of the time.
The only problem I have is with General Fury. I can never take him seriously in the comics or movies. He seems more like comic relief compared to Colonel Fury from mainstream Marvel.

The biggest reason I loved Thor was the fact that, even knowing next to nothing about the character, I knew basic Norse mythology, and that really allowed me to become immersed. A lot of my friends say it was terrible, but I really loved it because, as you said, I felt like I belonged.
Hi. I'm a fan of the Avengers, and I've been excited for this movie since 2007 when I stayed after Ironman for the post-credits scene. I'm MOSTLY concerned with Ironman's character, because I don't want him to be the star of the movie. I want it to be balanced, as much as I enjoy Robert Downey Jr.'s schtick. I want Hulk to be one of the main focus's simply because I feel he has been overlooked in terms of casting, and needs a moment to prove that Mark Ruffalo CAN be a great Hulk.
TDKR will conquer all movies next year for many reasons. 1-Great, complex story. 2-Nolan is ending his series. 3-Massive hype. 4-Great cast. 5-Previous success of Batman Begins & especially The Dark Knight(the most successful comic book movie of all time), which all leads up to what the majority of audiences for the film will be: much, much larger audience that goes beyond just fanboys(which is what Avengers audience will mainly consist of).

The possible-gimmicky story, Loki, Star Trek, Nick Fury, Black Widow, too-colorful costumes, desire for Edward as the Hulk, and more anticipation for The Dark Knight Rises than the Avengers. Only difference between us is that I'm more of a Marvel guy.
@OpethFanatic Okay, yes. Marvel Studios did co-produce those other movies but lets be honest. Marvel Studios didn't have real creative control until they started making their own movies in 2008. All other movies were property of Fox, Sony, Universal, you name it. Producing a movie does not automatically mean you have a huge say in the creative process. It just means you had a hand in "getting the movie made" not actually "making the movie." They are different talents.
What bugs me the most is probably Mark Ruffalo. Honestly i am just sick and tired of the Hulk's inconsistent casting and if you're going to recast someone from the last Hulk movie, at least make him look more like the last actor or actually an actor that resembles more like the comic book Bruce Banner. I mean Mark is a great actor but I'm also more picky about the look. It actually bugs me more than the non-existing Russian accent from Scarlett's Black Widow.

Edward Norton made his own hulk that was canon to the marvel avengers movies, while the one before it is not canon to the other marvel movies. They could have worse actors, but the Scarlett Johansson thing annoys me to death. I'm actually glad that they put character like Black Widow and Hawkeye in it, since they are the most "normal" in therm of power and abilities. I just hope the movie will take time to introduce Hawkeye since he only had a small cameo in THOR, otherwise I'm just scare he's gonna feel too rush in the story (and the group). I cannot wait to see more of Loki, hopefully a more menacing one, since he was (IMOO) more pitiful in THOR.

There's nothing wrong with colorful superheroes. Also the real reason Ed Norton isn't in the movie is because he demanded more money than everyone else and was being a pain in the ass to work with. In other words, he became another Terrence Howard. Yeah, he owned the role of Bruce Banner, but for the love of god, I am so sick of people whining that he's not in it.

Put it this way, Nolans Batman is ending and if the Avengers is a success it will mean Marvel can move ahead with other projects like Guardians Of The Galaxy or The Inhumans. If I were to compare Marvel and DC movies like a tree it would go like this.
DC has only one strong branch growing (Batman), while Marvel has a bunch of strong branches growing (Thor, Cap, Ironman and others) along side of each other. I mean sure DC is ahead of the game in the animation department but that's it.

I myself am a DC guy as well but even I have to admit that Marvel is ahead of the game here. The only successful DC movies in recent years have been Nolans Batman, Watchmen was very mixed, Jonah Hex was total failure and this year Green Lantern was a flop. I mean DC only has Man Of Steel slated for 2013 which can go be fail or a success depending of how good the story is.
I mean WB/DC has nothing else planned, I mean I've heard rumors of a Wonderwoman movie but that's just a rumor.

I had to laugh when you said you're looking forward more to "The Dark Knight Rises" because you're a DC guy. Right when you said that, I thought of how I'm going crazy more about "The Avengers" because I'm a Marvel girl. Two sides of the same comic coin. Other than that, I agreed with everything you said.

@AussieDragoon Totally agree. I meant a scene where he runs out of bullets or something and takes out a whole room of villains single-handedly in bad-ass fashion. To my knowledge, I don't think we've seen that happen with Jackson yet. He's the biggest bad-ass mo-fo around but has he had a complete berserker scene where he unloads on everyone? That's what I'm talking about.

I also think the colors are fine. This isn't supposed to be a dark, gritty story like Batman is. The Avengers aren't some secret black ops group that operate at night most of the time.

The only problem I have is with General Fury. I can never take him seriously in the comics or movies. He seems more like comic relief compared to Colonel Fury from mainstream Marvel.

The biggest reason I loved Thor was the fact that, even knowing next to nothing about the character, I knew basic Norse mythology, and that really allowed me to become immersed. A lot of my friends say it was terrible, but I really loved it because, as you said, I felt like I belonged.

Hi. I'm a fan of the Avengers, and I've been excited for this movie since 2007 when I stayed after Ironman for the post-credits scene. I'm MOSTLY concerned with Ironman's character, because I don't want him to be the star of the movie. I want it to be balanced, as much as I enjoy Robert Downey Jr.'s schtick. I want Hulk to be one of the main focus's simply because I feel he has been overlooked in terms of casting, and needs a moment to prove that Mark Ruffalo CAN be a great Hulk.

TDKR will conquer all movies next year for many reasons. 1-Great, complex story. 2-Nolan is ending his series. 3-Massive hype. 4-Great cast. 5-Previous success of Batman Begins & especially The Dark Knight(the most successful comic book movie of all time), which all leads up to what the majority of audiences for the film will be: much, much larger audience that goes beyond just fanboys(which is what Avengers audience will mainly consist of).

Lol, I agreed with basically everything you said. The possible-gimmicky story, Loki, Star Trek, Nick Fury, Black Widow, too-colorful costumes, desire for Edward as the Hulk, and more anticipation for The Dark Knight Rises than the Avengers. Only difference between us is that I'm more of a Marvel guy.

@OpethFanatic Okay, yes. Marvel Studios did co-produce those other movies but lets be honest. Marvel Studios didn't have real creative control until they started making their own movies in 2008. All other movies were property of Fox, Sony, Universal, you name it. Producing a movie does not automatically mean you have a huge say in the creative process. It just means you had a hand in "getting the movie made" not actually "making the movie." They are different talents.

What bugs me the most is probably Mark Ruffalo. Honestly i am just sick and tired of the Hulk's inconsistent casting and if you're going to recast someone from the last Hulk movie, at least make him look more like the last actor or actually an actor that resembles more like the comic book Bruce Banner. I mean Mark is a great actor but I'm also more picky about the look. It actually bugs me more than the non-existing Russian accent from Scarlett's Black Widow.

@JinXPhantom to be fair, incredible hulk is not a sequel to hulk. Edward Norton made his own hulk that was canon to the marvel avengers movies, while the one before it is not canon to the other marvel movies. It does suck that he didn't come back for the avengers, I'm trying not to let that get in the way of enjoying it though. I will agree that Scarlett not doing a russian accent blows. If she couldn't pull one off why did they have to hire her?? There are no talented russian actresses?bull

I loved Edward Norton's performance in the incredible hulk and I still wish he came back and I wasn't born yesterday i know the incredible hulk wasn't a sequel to Hulk. I'm just saying I don't like Mark Ruffalo stepping in the role of Bruce Banner. I Like scarlett as Black widow im just saying I wish she at least put a russian accent. They could have worse actors, but the Scarlett Johansson thing annoys me to death. Not anything against her personally, I think she's a decent actress, but the accent thing bothers me. they shouldn't have cast her if she couldn't do it. Oh well, it will still be an epic movie.

I'm actually glad that they put character like Black Widow and Hawkeye in it, since they are the most "normal" in therm of power and abilities. I just hope the movie will take time to introduce Hawkeye since he only had a small cameo in THOR, otherwise I'm just scare he's gonna feel too rush in the story (and the group). I cannot wait to see more of Loki, hopefully a more menacing one, since he was (IMOO) more pitiful in THOR.
