Episode 36-39 are Season 1 episodes. They group it at Season 2 cause they finish these episodes on Season 2.

What or who was created in season 3 and 2 episodes in season 2 have SEASON 1 openings more then halfway season 2 that should be a clue and I watched the series when it was on tv and a season two episode was shown in season 1, the one were they are still hunting for the snake talisman in a cave in a jungle when they are looking for demon portals.

nope tohru works for the dark hand in season 1. this might have been bundled as a season 1 episode from whichever tv station you saw it from but the episode has production code 236, i.e. season 2 ep 36.
