My sisters went to see Libera when they came to Chicago on July 31 and Josh was, in fact, with the group! So were Liam, Ben, Sam and Alex. What a pleasant surprise for them! My sisters say that all these boys' voices are now a lovely tenor, and that the older boys sang their own song at the concert. I am so jealous of my sisters for being able to hear that :). They say that Ben's tenor voice is very remarkable, and Josh's tenor sounds a lot like Tom Cully's (look up his "Cashmere" on Youtube) :)

Technically you could be right, the songs are getting better. That's down to the director/composer/arranger Robert Prizeman and his team, which thankfully remains the one 'fundemental' constant.

Sure I can agree to that Tom,Josh,Mini Ben and Liam were the ones leading when I started to listen to Libera. But I did back track and found many "old" stars I liked like Liam O´kane and Co. But I think the new members like Stefan, Ralph and Kavana, James and Co are just as great and talented as the old gang. They woulden´t be in Libera otherwise. Ralp and co did an awesome job on Song of Life.

I think it's so hu-lari-OUS how people, particularly the American audience, equates good singing talent, to how hot someone looks. I mean...take The Voice. All the judges AND the audience shoudl have their backs turned to all of the contestants as they perform, and only after they've all been judged, can everyone turn around. I'd say that only when Liam and Ben will have left Libera, but you are definitely right that Tom's and Josh's retirement have yet left some emptiness that has not been compensated with new upcoming prodigies (although it would be a mistake not to consider all of the members big talents).
Time is off of the album "Peace" (as it says above), and in my opinion everything on it is smash hit.. (That said, I think that of every Libera song and CD). Go Libera!

For anyone worrying about Josh's leaving - no, he was in in Epsom a few weeks ago, but that doesn't mean he has left forever. It's possible, but durring the concert Liam made a speech saying how some of the older boys were at home studying for big exams. It's be a shame if he was really gone, but it's likely that he'll stay around to help, like Tom does. :)
I wish people wrote more music like this - lyrics and music. I know we need fun, frivolous music and that's fine but there's something deep and profound about music like this that really makes you consider what is important and touches you right in the soul. It's just awesome.

@dhelianthus I think you're being a little harsh- sure the 2005-2010 boys were amazing, but they were not the only talented ones out there, the choir is still fantastic as they've demonstrated in all their performances since the "Golden Era" boys have left. New boys are stepping up and singing beautifully, and I'm sure that when they get older people will be saying the same thing about them. Don't get me wrong, I loved Tom, Josh, Ed and the others, but they were not Libera, only a part of it.

I'd say that only when Liam and Ben will have left Libera, but you are definitely right that Tom's and Josh's retirement have yet left some emptiness that has not been compensated with new upcoming prodigies (although it would be a mistake not to consider all of the members big talents).

Time is off of the album "Peace" (as it says above), and in my opinion everything on it is smash hit.. (That said, I think that of every Libera song and CD). Go Libera!

@meyko05 Your skin color has nothing to do with your voice. That "black one" was selected to be in one of the best boys' choirs I've ever heard, I'm sure he is amazing. I'm a teenage girl in a chamber choir and that's one of the reasons why I love this type of music; it's all about the voice, not about stupid "trends", stereotypes or "techniques". Props to this young boy for singing something other than rap. I'm also of 100% British heritage, so please keep your ignorant comments to yourself.

For anyone worrying about Josh's leaving - no, he was in in Epsom a few weeks ago, but that doesn't mean he has left forever. It's possible, but durring the concert Liam made a speech saying how some of the older boys were at home studying for big exams. It's be a shame if he was really gone, but it's likely that he'll stay around to help, like Tom does. :)

I wish people wrote more music like this - lyrics and music. I know we need fun, frivolous music and that's fine but there's something deep and profound about music like this that really makes you consider what is important and touches you right in the soul. It's just awesome.

@dhelianthus I think you're being a little harsh- sure the 2005-2010 boys were amazing, but they were not the only talented ones out there, the choir is still fantastic as they've demonstrated in all their performances since the "Golden Era" boys have left. New boys are stepping up and singing beautifully, and I'm sure that when they get older people will be saying the same thing about them. Don't get me wrong, I loved Tom, Josh, Ed and the others, but they were not Libera, only a part of it.

@ebobone Exactly. I think especially Tom had a awesome voice, but he and the others moved on like they should and I think people who are mourning that as if Libera has died now should ask themselves why a 16 year old boy can handle this better then them.
Libera is eternal youth and the voices of new talents will continue to improve the magic. Until now, that worked well, as I think that Libera has mostly improved over the years.
