  • You can come closest to finding the historical Jesus in Jame's letter, the Brother of Jesus, in the New Testament.... Ya things change... People apply divinity to Jesus over the years... Likely for an amazing reason.

  • @AbandonedPanda I was going to attempt a rebuttal to you, but then I read all your posts. Thanks for proving my point for me.

  • It's only now because so much time has passed that people can get away with it. These ideas are directly from Masonry and the early New Age movement, specifically the idea's of Blavatsky and others... Acharya S pushes this shit but she's been caught lying and has no credibility at all.

  • Christ and the religion that grew up around his ministry and theology had many enemies. Strange none of them close to his time AT ALL claim that he wasn't real... They said his miracles were fake, that he wasn't the Son of God, or the Messiah.. But none say he didn't exist. Why wouldn't so many disbelievers just say... he wasn't real. Especially if they were living in the decades and centuries right after his time? Because they couldn't get away with it of course.

  • If the evidence for Jesus's existence does not count then the evidence for Julius Caesar doesn't either. As it's actually far weaker, comparably speaking... Chris White did a great video on this issue. There is really no debate. Jesus was real, you can debate if he performed miracles. But what we have as evidence, i.e. texts... is all the evidence we have for most historical figures. And again Texts referring to Christ are far more common and very close to the time he is claimed to have lived.

  • There are over 40 classical authors both Christian and non-Christian that talk about Jesus... What's disturbing is the fact that not one serious scholar IN THE WORLD buys the Jesus wasn't real theory and it's still pushed. Even Bart Erhman, the famous Agnostic New Testament Scholar doesn't dispute to historicity of Jesus. There is more evidence for the existence of Jesus than pretty much most other historical figures.

  • And don't forget "Billy" lol, the most refreshing aspect of your videos is how free your mind appears in your perception....

  • hi. i am not religious in any sense of the word. but i look at the bible as an account of ancient aliens coming to earth thousands of years ago. there are tales of battles in the sky's by the gods, ancient aliens. you have to read between the lines on some of the reports in the bible. but the bible is an in portent document. only been watching your channel fore a few weeks, but i like what i see. i could go into more reasons why i beleave all this, but not enough room on this site

  • is this article accurate? mama.indstate.edu/users/nizrael/jesusrefutation.html

  • it is all down to opion, no matter how many phgs, some professor might have

  • you are right. there is more evidence to support the ancient alien theory. and even if in the bible sense taken at face value, that would make this Jesus an ancient alien

  • @turnermedman1231 That wasn't a twist I was expecting...

  • Good vids. Very informative and full of stuff I may shamelessly nick.

  • @falchion49 Feel free!

  • I think it may have started with a historical person but that person was lost by the time of the earliest versions of the gospels.

Perhaps there was no historical Jesus. In the end it doesn't matter because the book and the religion is not about any real person. Every part of the Jesus myth was created for a purpose. Many different purposes, depending on the time of the authorship and of the numerous edits and revisions and omissions to come.

If Jesus existed, the one in the bible isn't him

  • @MacNutz2 It might have, but I think it's more likely that this is more of a Robin Hood type story, where the religion evolved and then the early founders created an icon the people could rally around.

  • If jesus isn't real, then who's birthday do we celebrate on xmas?

    Checkmate!

  • @fractal420 "then who's birthday do we celebrate on xmas?"

Mithras, Krishna, Horus, Adonis, Helios and a few other sun gods.

  • @fractal420 Mithra?

  • A video on how Christianity could have evolved, in the absence of a historical Jesus, would be interesting :) I personally see no evidence for Jesus, and I don't feel threatened by the possibility of him not existing. Actually I would love a video on Cthulhu, you could compare the coming of Cthulhu to the second coming of Christ ;)

  • good call. it's a moot point.
