Seeing a motor being ground-up didn't bother me so much - done plenty of that. It was the fact that he wasn't trying to get a fast 1/4 mile or anything, but that the only objective appeared to be to see how far the little rpm needle could be made to go, that alarmed me. Rebuilds are expensive and time consuming, and that this guy would endure that cost for zero gain, places him squarely in the dumb-arse category for me. What a prick!
