@Railroadkid1937 accually i just encountered a problem with a wire breaking, I sent it to bachmann about three months ago and just got a call from them yesterday. This involved me paying a 25 dollar service fee and long wait. Bachmann also couldnt repair the locomotive and want to send me a new one, the only problem is that they dont have any more Western Maryland so i asked for a C&O and for them to send the old one back. If they do i will repair it myself.
@abrownyo you know what's funny i just bought a western maryland 2-8-0 and i may have gotten the last one lol but then again i didn't order straigh from bachman the thing is I actually wanted the C&O but the site that I order from doesent have them which sucks cause it would have looked nice next to the 2-6-6-2 i bought which I am still waiting for bachmann to return to me after 2 months
question about the 4-6-0 is it possible to buy dcc equipped as is standard by all bachmann spectrum locos and add sound later and how do i order online with cash or do i have to write a letter to the company stating what i want and send in the money or would i just put it on a visa gift card and use it that way. thanks for the help!
@atsf7809 the 0-6-0s are made by proto...They will be released this September. The 4-6-0 is made by bachmann Spectrum. You can pick them up for about $150-$170. Proto's 0-6-0 would probably cost you more just because of the extreme attention to detail, running, etc.
question i'm saving up money for a little railroad demondtration module that is set as a short line towards the the end of steam say 1954-59 and need a dcc equipped possibly sound equiped engine to go with it i've been looking at the mt-4 that athearn makes but it's out of the question cause i'm looking at shortline power does anyone know of a good engine for the time frame if so what is it and where can i get one cheap? please help me thank you
@atsf7809 Well anything you get with dcc and sound is gonna cost you. But a locomotive from 54-59 for a short line...if your looking for diesels maybe an Sw-7 or a steam maybe a 4-6-0...or an 0-6-0 is being made by proto 2000 this year which is really nice
i own two ihc steamers one is a mogul and struggles to pull two of my awesome prr heavyweightsand my ihc pacific which is capable of pulling every car i own is out of commision because of motor problems it was out of commisio a year after i got it in comparison i have a brass o5 a northern and it can pull every car i own with slipping no need for assitace so there if you want engies that'll be reliable and fast and turn heads at thew railroad club bachmann is the way to go.
Well, I have several IHC steamers, not the best detail, but they run better then anything else except maby BLI, my 2-6-0 will pull a 9 car passenger train up a 1% grade at a crawl, I've got the 4-6-2 to pull up to a 25 car long freight train, longer the the Bachmann 2-10-2, and the 2-8-0 will pull a good 15 freight cars, and the other day, I was double heading it with a DCC ready Bachmann 2-8-0, and they wouldn't run together because the IHC had a slower min speed. Never had a problem with a IHC
hey i just bought one of these and was wondering if you had problems with the wires in between the engine and the tender and if so how did u fix it
