@paco0153 wats hardware then vsts are hardware ???vsts are the only way of making the dirty electronic bass unles u wana use samples an i kno u plonker but massive is one of the most used plugins for grime & dubstep
@tacticProduction VST's aren't hardware you fucking idiot. And they also aren't the only way to make dirty sounds. Nearly any hardware synth you buy is going to have the same possibilities as a basic vst synth (Especially massive). It's not even the synth itself that gives sounds that grimey feel. It's how you effect/master them with things like bitcrushers, saturators, etc...
You obviously dont know a thing about producing so I'm not even gonna bother arguing from here.
This introduced me to grime, dubstep ,and 4x4...started making music 8 years ago...experimental..I UPLOADED a REMIX to this.. Its from an artist in miami-
When producers added the saw-tooth bass to 140 BPM half-steppy instrumentals, they distinguished garage from grime; like dizzee's I love you.
You'd be forgiven for thinking this is just garage as grime and garage are mixed in this track, although they are completely separate from each other.
This song is recent but you'll find that 2003-4 was the defining time for grime music.
lov ya this song !

cool, what VST is used for the bass?
Sensualsenior 1 year ago
@Sensualsenior I doubt its just a vst. He probably made the synth himself like any good producer does.

@paco0153 thats how you make basslines u idiot fro vsts, an its probaly massive vst
tacticProduction 1 year ago
@tacticProduction Or with hardware you fucking tool.
And what make you say it's specifically an NI vst? It's not like Massive is the only synth that could make this sound.
