No problems with the quality. This is ace. Bill's homegrown effort was one of the earliest video promos. It cost Bill 500 quid which was a lot in those days. Still far more innovative than most of the tripe you get these days. The fact this made only #51 in the UK is a sad indictment of the record buying public at the time.

This song has been stuck in my head for almost 25 years. It was always a mystery to me what it was. I was 11 or so when I heard it. I've tried searching for this title to no avail. I had no idea who the artist was but I knew it was somebody very original and eclectic. Thanks for posting this. I believe that Bill made this video himself (and very cheaply) because he didn't have the backing of a major record label after the breakup of Be Bop & Red Noise. The story that I heard at the time was that the UK broadcast Trade Unions then decided that they wouldn't "allow" it to be broadcast on UK TV because it was made with "non union labour". Wow, it just shows how the world has moved on with Youtube, My Space etc.

Bill's first 2 great solo albums are now back in print. "Quit Dreaming and Get Back on the Beam," and "The Love that Whirls" are availiable worldwide, for CHEAP.

This song is available on his album Quit Dreaming And Get On The Beam which was originally released in 1981. It was recently REreleased and I highly recommend you go out and buy it along with The Love That Whirls (Diary Of A Thinking Heart) and Chimera. You will not hear music like this from anyone else. Nelson was and STILL is in a class of his own. Genius is what he is.
