actually, it isn't dumb at all. This is why rocky always worked; it inspired people-gave them back the power life sometimes tries to take away.

It's a beautiful ending that understands that Rocky was no longer the little project it begun with but a character far bigger that belongs to the people, because it represents them.

I wouldn't worry about it. Every tourist from near and far that goes to Philly does the run up the steps. I've gone a few times and there's always a crowd of people doing the 'Rocky' yell and such. It's a great view from the top of the stairs, and the museum is awesome!

this was the last movie and i'm glad our native philadelphians wore our team colors on the steps to show other states who we are, even if we lose alot, this was a fun shot for all that made it to have forever. i'm sure other countries think we are nuts but we have fun too

I cried when I saw this video in the closing credits of "Balboa" ... while the Rocky franchise has certainly overextended itself, the original story is indeed inspirational.
