  • oi have 2 pet rats (Poppy and Bubbles) they are both very sweet and gentle and almost never bite

  • that looks like me rat

  • Omg it's very nice!

I'll buy nxt week , my rat!

  • She mink? She looks just like my Russian Blue dumbo girl. mmm maybe my girl is a mink.

  • Ok this suck

  • @mesvidsfavoris

Sure and you are the Santa Claus? Rofl, go away and stop kidding.

  • haha my rats do that too. i go "BAAAABIES (in a high pitch voice) SNACK TIME!" and they all line up in a line XD soo cute! i have 6 rats :) 3 boys 3 girls, all three boys are nuetered :)

  • I accidently taught my male rats to RUN when there name was called. I'd yell G.D. they'd perk up, and as soon as I said a name the guilty rat would bolt. It is so quiet now that they are not around, I miss them.

  • GW Bush looks like a Dumbo rat. :)

  • @hossrod And you are a fucking idiot

  • @hossrod and you're an idiot.

  • Awww! My first rat was a dumbo.., *sighs* you brought back some fun memories, although she didn't come when called. :P

  • Nice video, but I'm not sure how often you heard/ read that before, so it is no bad meaning behind this. First, the cage is not really good because of the spaces between the metal on the stages. This increases bumblefeet. The second is, that dumbo means "pain" for the rats. It disturbes moving and listening, it destroys the skeleton and so on. So I'd think more before I get a dumbo only because of its "cute" look.

That's just hints, so no argueing! ;-) Still a wonderful rat.

  • @vampyresBaby Actually wire floors, as long as they are smooth and don't have any sharp edges, can be more hygienic than plastic floors, which allow bacteria to build up and can absorb into the plastic and become stinky. It's a common myth that bumblefoot is caused by wire floors, but in fact it is caused by bacteria in the foot. I've had rats for 12 years and never had one case of bumblefoot or any other floot cleanliness problems because wire levels allow the feces and urine to fall through.

  • @vampyresBaby Wire FLOORS, however, are not good for rats as they are not as comfortable and do not allow rats to dig in their beddng. But on levels it is fine. Rats should have hammocks and other things to walk on anyway!

Also, dumbo rats do not suffer in pain because of their looks. Dumbo rats have been bred for many years now and I have never heard any other breeder say anything about this. None of them have any hearing problems, moving problems, or even a different skeleton.

  • @evergreenrattery Really though! I have a rat named Lynke and he is dumbo with no addly shaped skeleton or anything! Its like people ears, when you see a skeleton you dont see the ears on the outside bcuz their cartilage, i dont know what rat ears are made of but rat skellies dont have ears on 'em!

  • @vampyresBaby what do u meen dumbo meens pain? i thought it was just a different breed of rat with ears on the side of its head plz write back thx :)

  • @mrsdaisy33660

Hi, well, dumbo means pain because of the skeleton. It must've been a rumor, but no one ever could proof if it is real - and no one ever could proof it it is NOT real. You'll get a message in next minutes.

  • @vampyresBaby okaay it also meens big ears like the elephant in the movie dumbo :)

  • Whats a tasty treat rats LOVE I can't seem to find any to train my rats with =/

  • test different things to find what they like best and use that : )

  • Yoghurt, cheese, sausage.

  • I never gave them treats when I called them, they just learned after a few months of me calling to them, so now my rattie Nimbalo comes running whenever I pat the floor and say "Nimbyyy!" Of course I still gives them treats :)

  • @Cheese838

You can use (if nothing else helps) some vitamin cream, all rats just would die for that^^ But be careful and don't give too much. Only a little and not every day, 'cause too much vitamins can be as bad as less vitamins. ;-)

  • @vampyresBaby I wouldn't give vitamin cream to rats. They have special dietary needs and can be harmed by vitamin supplements meant for humans. Even a little bit may throw off the rat's normal vitamin and mineral content because they are not formulated for a rat's size or metabolism.

  • @evergreenrattery

Well, actually this cream is meant for cats, not for humans, but I know many rat owners using this sometimes. Rats love it (my ones, too). Of course it shouldn't be given often, but from time to time it is not dangerous.

  • @evergreenrattery

You do realize that rats are animals which, through evolution has nearly not changed at all because they are so fit for survival in any environment. They can take it man, trust me. I gave my rat lots of candy, and human food and he lived to be almost 3 years.

  • Your rat is so cute :3 I love his little ears. your cage is also very cool, I like it.

  • my rats already do that... most of the time lol...

they know their names and to come when I make a kissy sound. and most of the time they actually do it.

  • lol.. kissy sound xD

  • My rats all come to me when I make a kissy sound too haha but I think that they all think their name is cutie lol all my fault of course!

  • How did you teach your rat to do it?

  • thats a really cute rat

  • Very cute! Is it a dumbo rat? Because it looked like the ears were on the sides of his/hers head. Love that rattie!

  • Yep she's a mink dumbo =)

  • well she is adorable!
