It's a telemetry reading device calculating airflow and distribution over the vehicle chasis, aswell as testing for unwanted vibrations (vehicle engine, enviroment, aero) yes even the tone of the car can destort the vehicles smoothability and driving performance during a race.

virgin replaced noone but filled toyota's vacant spot and the black and white car is the new spec BMW Sauber. the fact that it still has that name to me is a bit funny as it is owned by peter sauber again and has Ferrari engines. But it is still based at Hinwill so i guess there's reason enough

Black and white car is Sauber BMW, they use Ferrari engines. Virgin is a brand new team this year.

I'm a McLaren fan, have been for a long time. Not sure that JB is going to be up to it though, I think that he benefitted greatly from the "rule adjustments" of 2009 and once all the teams developed the double diffusor.... well, it was damage limitation all the way. As for Lotus, I'd love to see them do well. Schumi....? Never was a good a Senna, there just wasn't anyone else good enough to challenge him (running a 100m sprint with only fat people for competition does not make you a sprinter!).

Ferrari, McLaren & Red Bull look in great shape. Mercedes has Schumi in it, but with the amount of hard work Ferrari had put into their car(remember they stopped development of F60 to concentrate on F10 as early as Sep'09), it would be a tough job beating them...
