  • Girl i understand breast feeding ain't easy my son won't take bottle but i like it it's best for him but many times i do feel like giving up but i'm not!

  • i've pretty much had the same experience here. breastpumping throughout the day to maintain supply. at about 9 months it finally got easier. now he is 14 months and im still bf and he has only had one cold. bf now is such a joy. but it was rocky in the beginning.

  • honestly it is not a bad idea to keep nursing your baby. i nursed my daughter and son until they were two years old. then i weaned them. keep up the good work. good video.=)

  • great vid. My son is 20 months and I still can't wean him. I never was able to express, so he never had a bottle. The breastfeeding for me got easier after about 1 month, but now getting him into whole milk is really hard.

  • Thank you.

Just wondering, Why would you give him whole milk before 1 year?

  • My son is almost 2 years old and the doctors here (US) tell you to start giving them whole milk when they turn 1 year. However, I know that in Jamaican culture, the women tend to breastfeed much longer, and much more openly. My husband, who is from Moneague (about 20 mins outside of Ochie- the country) wouldn't mind if I breastfed until the baby was 3 or 4....that's not happening..LOL

  • Im so sorry i did not see that u said he was 20 months, i saw 2 months (eyes playing tricks) lol. Yea out here BFing is normal in a public setting. Well it differs in certain areas, because most ppl here are telling me i can stop at 6 months, but im holding out a little longer :-) 3 or 4? no no lol.

  • On another note great vid!!!

  • I forgot to mention in my breastfeeding experience vid that I did not stay hydrated in the beginning not knowing thats what I needed to do. I became dehydrated and I got a kidney stone! I will have to do another vid just on that so much to say about it!

  • I agree with you about learning how much work breastfeeding is...I have turned to pumping my milk and formula feeding. Breastfeeding is too much for my body alone. I have so much respect for the mothers that choose to breastfeed all the way up til the baby starts eating baby food.

  • p.s i am finding that i am trying to hold on also, i said today to my partner should i give the bottle but i will try and hold on ..

  • yes ur righte, the public part is a problem for me...but what i am finding hard also is the demandingness of it...i find my day interupted having to feed and although it is a pleasure because they are getting the best nutrition it is tiring...but worth it.

  • when swine flu got to trini i stayed home, unless i had something that needed to be done i stayed home, wasnt going to risk it. i went to a breaskfeeding class and i've been reading what to expect the 1st year, i plan on breast feeding also, a bit worried that she would not latch on though, but hopefully it goes good...

    nice video :)

  • me tooo! i only go out if i have to :-)

  • I have SO much respect for you with keeping up with it after having the problems with the milk supply. When I get depressed my supply goes down too.. Its so frustrating. I had so many problems with breastfeeding in the beginning and Im so glad i stuck with it. I should do a video on my experience.

  • Thank you mama.

Its hard work at times so i thought i owed it to mommies and moms-to-be to keep it REAL!

  • Your hair is cute, My sis said it Breast Feeding hurt + you have to be in good health so you won't affect you baby.

  • Thank u ma.

Well it gets better over time. It only hurt me for about a week or two
