  • what kind of wattage would I need for my xbox? I too bought a RROD box and am too cheap to buy anything I don't already have in the basement ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Thta's kinda pointless, but kinda cool. xD

  • u can just buy and adaptor

  • lol, your supposed to do that but put it in a pc case, thats oogly :( .. but its cool :D awsome job!

  • why would u do that to ur xbox

  • @XNuCLeaRx23

    because it's fun.

    umad?

  • @Shadowcamper1383 nah i was just wondering

  • This xbox still goin and hav any truble with pc psu?

  • i need some help with this could you show me the solder points it would be greatly appreciated

  • wtf happened to ur xbox :$ ?

  • @gon19ter87

bought a RROD 360 where the owner stripped the case cuz he needed it for something else.

  • for gods sake get a better tv

  • @bungmuffin how is he going to afford a better tv??? look at his xbox!!!damn!!!

  • Dont they make a Universal power brick?

  • listen closy at 0:14 somebody plays maplestory =p

  • @JizzeldJays wtf is tht?

  • @JizzeldJays Well obvi' you do to for you to be able to pick up that sound like that =P

  • im trying to do the same thing how do you connect it to the xbox on the inside

  • @code4124

There's a link in the info.

  • Haha, nice, fuck microsoft and their shitty build quality.

  • why?

  • erm what exactly is the point of this, or is it just one of those stupid pointless videos?

  • @Followingalegend

to use as an backup(in case your original power brick breaks) or to replace(since a power brick cost around $40, and this cost depending on how much the PSU is, which can be cheaper than $40)

  • theres a point to warranty xD

  • @Followingalegend

what if you're out of warranty? :p

  • @Shadowcamper1383 hmmm you could put your head between your knees and kiss your ass good bye ;D

  • What is the PSU Wattage that you using and the 12v rail Amps output?

  • Comment removed

  • you loop the atx connector making the powersupply always on, this is not needed as the xbox external power supply IS a stripped down ATX unit. you should be able to pull all the power connections from the ATX then you wouldnt need this jumper, just have to figure out where it pulls standby power from

  • GHETTO!!! But i like the controller haha

  • can you make a video on how to make this or tell me how to do this please answer back tell me what you will do or not do thank you please answer back

  • @The818TECHMAN818

Please read the description of the video, lol.

  • Why are people commenting saying this is going to break it? The xbox 360 original psu is a totally pointless brick which is the main cause of failure, and the pc psu is so more efficiant its less likley to break down.

  • there is no point in overclocking that your juss going to fuck it up in da future leave it like it is

  • @pretttyricky4 There is absolutely no overclocking involved in this process. I don't know where you got the idea of OCing

  • great vid and great proof of concept, but why on earth would you nee a PC power supply?

  • @VideoBookEducation if you lose your original power supply

  • how you do that message me back

  • I did it and it worked like a charm.

  • what the hell is the point of that

  • Xbox 360 power supply's are expensive apparently, where I am you can get a 500watt no name power supply for 10 bucks and save 40..

  • lol that duct tape is sexy!

  • ur my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Woah! O_O

    Your good! xD

    Keep up the Good Work!

Just dont Become a Criminal! O_O

    xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • that duct tape is so cool

thats the hardcore eddition of the xbox360

  • what is the minium and maximum voltage you can use. i want to use an old 320 watt. is it enough?

  • There is no maximum and the minimum is at least 250w.

    320w is good.

  • ok. thanks

  • have you had any problems since you posted the video? my xbox is pretty new and i dont want to screw it up

  • Nope, just make sure the open wires(conductive parts) don't touch each other.

  • great. thanks for the help. sweet duct tape job

  • Because now you can play in your bathroom!

  • Nm i found it in the description.

  • hey whatever works for you. I might be able to mod my friend's 360 so at lease he can play games. do you have a tutorial on how you put this together b/c the power brick on his 360 the plug broke but I think the PS still works but I dunno how to turn it on to use it.

  • And what its douse

  • you should put this all in a pc case.

  • smexy duct tape FTW

  • Do you even know how this works? Speaking before knowing makes you look like a retard.

  • Hey man I just have a question being someone who has worked on these things for a while- Does that power supply have the same voltage as the power brick?

  • thats so dumb to do that!!

  • Explain please.

  • So, the increased power supply improves fps and fan speed?

Also, would you be able to replace the graphics card of the xbox? Or is it integrated?

  • No, it doesn't improve anything, it's just a replacement in case if your power brick broke.

GPU, CPU, etc. of any game console are all soldered on, that means no replacement.

  • Ah, makes sense.

  • what is the point of this tho??

  • Read below comments

  • your'e stupid, why dot you got on ebay and buy the part that is the same as an xbox 360 powersuply but fits on a pc power suply thats what i did, oh and after a few weeks your xbox will develop the 0001 erroe code, wrond power suply.

  • Your're stupid, instead of buying a PSU Energyzer cost $25 plus the cost of a PC power supply like a dumbass, you and spend only $5-10 with this mod. Oh and a PC power supply supplies the same current and voltage as a 360 power brick, the only reason you would get error 0001 is because of the shitty power brick that Microsoft made. Also, you need to have a grammar check and you can't type for shit.

  • haha

  • not all PC powersupplies r the same as the 360 the 360s power supply is 150W my PC power supply is 1250W witch would probly break the 360 and if u wondering why my power supply is so high its because of 4 way SLI with each card have 2.3gig on board

  • no it wouldnt break the 360. the 360 would just use what it needs. you would have troubes when you go below 150.

else your pc would break as soon you boot him, because your SLI isnt yet sing that much power.

  • Comment removed

  • i needed the 1250w the 1000w i tryed and it wouldnt support (4) 2.3gig cards

  • So you have 9.2GBs onboard ram just for what! I think it is a complete waste of money! Crysis at full resolution only uses 1GB!! 2x GTX 295 should be enough for any game.

  • Maybe some people do things other than crysis that requires lots of ram..

I have 8 myself on my octocore rig

  • bizzy400

    oh dear, whats the point?

you have no clue and wasted alot of money on a 4xSLI system. But nice bragging about it .

    your so leet

  • A 1.2kw PSU would not kill a 360. That is not how they work. 4 way SLI does not exist and what the hell card has 2.3 gigs on it? Also if you have X amount of ram and a gpu and have 2 in sli you can still only use x amount of ram not x+x amount of ram.

You obviously don't know what your talking about and have this system that you claim you have.

  • please learn to spell.

  • What i really don't understand if he does have 4 way SLI with 2.3GBs each that is 9.2GBs of Video Ram and if you have 12GB of DDR3 Ram. That is OVER 20GB of Ram on 1 System I just don't see the point you could play any game on full resolutions on 1 of those cards. I have 12GBs of Ram on my i7 system with 2GB of video ram.

  • so who cares if he likes to have over 20 gigs of ram just let the guy.

@ apple you can configura a mac pro with 32! gigs of ram! they just want to show off!

  • nasty noise at 0:28

  • I took a small cutting wheel an cut the top of the cast out over the large heat sink an mounted a 80mm computer fan on top to keep it cool this removes all the heat

  • No, it's not an UPS(interruptible power supply).

  • this is cool and great job by the way. i wanna do this too. i already went to ur link and tried to learn how but i was unsuccessful. i was wondering if you could make a video tourital on this mod.

  • whats the point of doing that?

  • same reason im thinkin :S

  • Just in case if your 360 power supply broke and you don't want to spend $50+ for another one, this is an alternate choice

  • true

  • Yeah mine broke, I'm thinking of doing this.

  • one thing u could also do is buy a intercooler and take it apart, the intercooler has the part that u stick into the xbox and from there u can just crimp wires together, pretty dam easy, nice video tho.

  • Alright thanks for the suggestion! I might buy an Intercooler and make a video about it on how to mod it.

  • the ps3 poweron screen is better!

  • so what?

  • does it work on both 203W and 175W xboxs??

  • Yeah, I tried it on both kind of Xbox, both works fine.

  • Yeah thanks for this video man i just got mine working and its been running for about 5 hours now good job.

  • how did you make this, i want to do it i have all the necesary but i don't know how.

  • Check the video description, there's a link on how to do it.

  • For example, if your original power brick burned up, you can either use this as a temporary backup and buy a new power brick later OR you use it as a power supply for your Xbox 360.

Since this mod cost me $5(generic PC power supply), a PSU Energyzer costs $20 WITHOUT the power supply(Google/Youtube it if you don't know what it is), and a original Xbox 360 power brick costs around $40 for a used, and $50+ for a new one.

  • I bet ur some little kid that spend all his time on the internet looking at stupid crap. Lol JK
