  • As an 8 yr old child I heard Alfred Apaka and remembered him as having a wonderful voice. I mentioned this once to my son, who saw an album of Apaka records and bought it. He was amazed at the beauty and range of this wonderful singer's voice, and it showed my memories were correct. Such a shame for us he died so young.

  • It was this man and the Hawaii Calls show that started an over 50 love affair in my heart for true Hawaiian music, including this wonderful song.
