  • How can one not love this car? Such mass appeal that is sick!

  • what a friendly car, well done.....

  • clean install! ive seen some really messy looking setups done on type 3s but urs looks like it came factory. and if im not mistaken those are OG rivieras. nice.

  • Oregon is the shit. I used to own a 1972 Bus.

  • bahaha siiiiick luv the vid

  • awesome!!!!! i really dig the wheels!!

  • Nice ride. I'm working on a baja squareback. Check out my lame video. I'm gonna start a type 3 collection.

  • Do you have to alter the frame in any way to fit the air suspension or is it just install em?

  • Nice Ride man, congrats.

  • It's not a waste of money. A Prius is a waste of money. What you've got there is badass. Everyone in the VW club out here in BFE Texas knows your awesome car from this video. Keep up the good work.

  • One of the sickest squarebacks I've seen! I just pick one up! It's a '65....gonna go nostalgic patina tho. Hopefully mine will be just as clean as yours!

  • hows anything a waste of money? you work for your money its there to enjoy! love the set up, how many pumps are you running?

  • Looks like a ton of fun. Very nice square.

  • How is it a waste of money if I enjoy it? I'm not trying to impress anyone. For me cars like this are just big toys that I get to play with. But I'm cool with you not liking it. to each his own.

  • DO WANT! I wish I had a Type 3 :'(

  • from one squareback owner to another, that's awesome! Very nice

  • Love it man!! I've seen these systems installed, but would you mind quoting the price all said and done?

  • Sorry i down know exactly how much I spent I did a lot of the labor myself but the kit from DDB with the mods of the trailing arms and rear set up was a little over 2g's

  • Nicely done! I have heard that even with the car on the floor, the ride quality is still pretty good compared o a coilover setup. Any truth to that?

  • Do you run shocks on this setup?

  • Funny you should ask, I just reworked the back to be able to run some KYB gas-adjust shocks. Still trying to work out how to get them on the front. I'll make a new video when the car gets put back together.

  • badass!

  • One of the coolest Squareback a saw! Really awesome!

  • sweet ride brother, i hope you have it forever.

  • Sweet Squareback Action!!

Totally inspired me to get back into my garage. My '66 is in shambles... :(

  • that is awesome! all the other squarebacks on air on youtube are too slow (small valves/lines/tankcompressor?) this one is the goods. early squares are where its at

  • what is the name of the song please?

  • Daft Punk - Da Funk

  • is this air bags? or shocks? seems like alot of movement

  • Bags.

  • shotten the front beam i wanna see that muther scrappin damnit" :) nice car

  • Shortening the beam won't make it go lower as is the balljoints are rotated as far as they will turn and that's what's keeping it from going any lower. As is, the beam is 1/2" from the ground if i put on some smaller tires the beam will hit ground. After that they only way to get it lower is to swap out for a bug beam.

  • Gotta Favorite that one!

  • thats so friggin cool.

  • what is the song?

  • Stay tuned the car is about to get even lower! I will post videos and details when finished.

  • Can I ask what you bought exactl from the DDB? How much was everything total?

  • I got the whole kit from them, front and rear mounts, front and rear bags, all the air line, valves fittings relays Wired remote controller 5 gal air tank and 2 vlair compressors. They did the modifications to the torsion bars and the beem as well and installing the mounts and bags and I to save a little time and money ran all the wires and airline and installed all the gear you see in the trunk. I'm sorry I don't remember how much it all cost, I would suggest calling them directly.

  • Well I really hope everything comes out ok cuz I just put my order in. Im getting it installed during Thanksgiving!! Cant wait!!

  • A+++ my fella oregonian... thats the shit

  • i don't know, adjustable ride height is nice, and I like it as low as the next guy, but you made your car look like a dog wiping it's ass on the carpet. leave that to the monte carlos and keep your vw classy. up is good, down is better. tilting it to help your fat girlfriend get out??? retarded. just my view though, either way, i gotta say that was a damn clean install and kudos on that.

  • I hear what you are saying. But ever since I could drive a car I wanted Hydraulics or later on in life air ride. Just for the fun of it! Cars like these are just big toys anyway, why shouldn't they have big stereos and suspension that can move all over, shit if I could Id have smoke screens and ejector seats too!

  • This video is my favorite!! I cant wait to get this kit for my fasty

  • What a fun ride in a Type 3 square! COOL!!

  • OH SHIT thats awesome, how much that cost you? What kind of gauges are those? Nice ride

  • you are missing a lug on your left front wheel

  • I have since replaced all 16 lugnuts. Thanks.

  • sick squareback man

  • Thanks.

  • I can't stop watching this video, squares rule!
