It costs 1700 euroes, which would be something close to 2500 dollars or so. However i don't find that to be paricularly expensive, there are many systems that are far less versatile, yet still selling at twice the price of a doepfer system. You could also build the circuits yourself, if you know how to read circuit-diagrams as doepfer provides these on their website. you can also start small with an oscillator and a filter and collect your way up every now and then when you can afford a unit.
It's the same thing w every sequencer I'm hearing. After the excitement of the novel sound wears off, I'm listening to repetition which puts me literally to sleep.
Hi, what I am looking for is a simple analog sequencer. I know the Doepfer makes a very nice sequencer, but that's besides my point. My question is more about compatibility with Moog devices. I don't have much analog equipment, I only have a Voyager OS from Moog Music, and I believe it operates in voltages +7/-7 volts. Does Doepfer gear operate in the same Volt ranges so that I could hook up, say, the Doepfer sequencer to my little Moog Voayger OS?
@Funk96 Who knows? One of the nice things about modulars is that you can add modules as you go along... and never really stop to reflect on how much you've spent. Best to keep it that way, how's got time for angst when there's all kinds of sound to be made? Anyway, nice patch unyo303, some more base would've been nice. How's that A-127 filter working out? Worth the rack.-space? I'm thought long and hard about that one.
it seems like you would need a huge instruction manual to even understand this thing. so many patch cables and whatnot it looks like the old skool bugs bunny cartoons where a telephone operators patch bay...god help anyone who can understand these things!
They really are'nt that hard.. most people build them up by buying one module at a time.. each one designed for a specific purpose. It only looks difficult to someone foreign to them, the same way chinese writing looks difficult to me because I don't know how to read it.
would you recommened me getting a moog voyager or build by own doepfer modular rack, it seems like i could get a nice modular system cheaper then buying a moog voyager rack
how expensive is one of these? and how easy to use, would you say? If i know nothing about synths but would like to try one out, what would be a good starter synth for me?

You build it yourself one module at a time, so you don't have to figure it all out at once

I have no idea what all that equipment does. If I just saw it in a room I would have no idea it's used for music. Haha. But man that beat is awesome.

This is really mind-blowing.
It must take a great deal of intellect and coordination to operate that device.
Bravo.

Ace. I've ordered a basic system and I'm about to begin in the wonderful world of modular synthesis. :)

Thank you for the comment.
I had a video recorder in left hand, and played with the right hand!!
It's completely being created with A100 and doesn't use the external sounds.
unyo303 4 years ago
Sweet! Very tight little sequence... is everything the modular or are you trigger external sounds?
audiolemon 4 years ago
