It gets cut off because the SAGE ENDEC EAS Decoder has an abort button so that unnecessary warnings do not get broadcasted... Sometimes those decoders have their small glitches...
@MendotaTech Some dumbass could have pushed the button by accident, or on purpose. Most people with functioning brains don't consider tornado warnings to be "unnecessary".
@MIKON8ERISBACK sometimes, the location of the Decoder does not pertain to the location of the affected area. Also, take into account that all EAS cancellation has to be recorded and submitted to the FCC.
@MendotaTech Regardless of whether some idiot did it or not, it's incredibly stupid that it happened in the middle of a tornado outbreak. You should also take into account that Canadian TV stations from across the river in Windsor, Ontario offered no warnings at all.
I remember this, I was driving home with my two friends after a day of fishing in tecumseh mi and my friend's truck stalled on the side of the road while this brute of a storm went over us. Was probably the best day of the summer ever haha!
Hey: I'm in the UP. I had 7 tornado warnings in one day. Also, We lived near the spotter that was sending out the warnings, and the first 5 warnings would say the following: "The national weather service in (BLANK)" and it would end right there. The entire broadcasting software just crashed. the last 2 were during power surges. We were watching the alert and then the power surge went through, and seen it reboot.
Ah, nothin like the EAS credits! xD

@MendotaTech It is an encoder, not a decoder.

@jonvincent12 Wow that's strange. Would have been cool if you were able to record that. 7 Tornado warnings though? That is a lot especially in the UP
