  • Ja ho!

  • the octaver with the ring modulator and some distortion sounds sick..I like making my guitar sound like a murderous robot.

  • So i found this amp on this Music store website and the price is so cheap so i thaught id look for some reviews here on youtube for it and most of them says its a great amplifier with alot of stuff, effects or whatever you call it (lol) Im not the best guitar player but i can play pretty well i guess, so i was just wondering if this is a good amplifier, since i need a new one because my Laney 15w is not to good and ive had it for like a year lol. So is this something i should buy or not ??

  • @TheUnguided94 if you can get it for around 200 bucks, I'd say it's a good choice. but don't overpay. I paid 280 which is way too much

  • Dude check out the Twn's clean channel. Best on the vypyr.

  • hahahahahaha "we'll i suck so . . you know."

  • Dude u look like pau gasol

  • you'd be a great salesman!

  • reverse my friend is not horible, its prefrense, please dont say shit like that..

  • or is it, TELL ME!

  • peavey is just so complex!!!...

  • @TheCOB98 i'm fucking agree with u men

  • @TheCOB98 it isnt really! i thought the same! but it comes with a CD and well it describes what effects do and amps, really easy actually! and it does a firework type showy thing! >=D

  • @maggot6639 very nice

  • I DONT KNOW

  • or no

  • i think i am buying the line 6 spider iv 75 watt

  • i have been playing for a long time and i can tell when i hear a good guitarists. honestly if u were putting in the effort into playing good in the demo im sure u could. lol

  • are you Shia Labeoff?

  • @xGALL01 yup

  • Nice review man!

I've got a question, I have the Vypyr 100w...that buttons with the presets (4), how can you change the presset? And that button on the right of the fourth presset button, I think it says "Edit Mode", what's that for?

I'm portguese, so, any mistake, sorry :S

  • Very helpful! Thanks for helping me decide,I will be buying this amp.

You are pretty darn good bro, keep rockin!

  • how much was this amp? im deffinitly gonna order one

  • Dude you play good in my opinion man,I suck at guitar and I'm buying amps like this :(

  • The model I'm gunnu get doesn't have computer ports:( but I'm getting it for $135

  • i have your same setup with the sanpera 1, that thing is amazing. the plexi is amazing and can even reach light breakup.

  • @rampage222555 awesome bro! plexi is prob one of the best clean channels i know!

  • 6065 setting is pretty killer, so many amps ,so little time

  • @chickabuka hahaha! so true

  • is this loud enough for smaller gigs? and i have a very loud drummer also ... :)

  • @Zvosab yup! trust me this is plenty loud for smaller gigs. just keep in mind that you do not need to blast it right away because you might only need to do it like halfway

  • @synystergates151 ok tnx. i think i'm going to buy it

  • @Zvosab cool man! enjoy!

  • I own this amp and the footpedal attachment it kicks ass Wish i had the tube version but it still sounds really really good had it for a year now and had zero problems with mine but they do have problems with it shortly after i bought mine i got a call from the store asking if there was any problems said they had quite a few brought back but mine has always worked fine the footpedal is a huge plus ur only useing half the amp w/o the pedal

    ps Rec is rectifier

  • @TheAcesNeights thanks man! it is a great amp and with the sanpera it is unstoppable

  • thanks men!!!!

  • Cool review, Bud. I'm a big Peavey fan but my jewel would be the TransTube

& it will be mine..., one of these days(LoL!).

  • you can edit the *super high gain stuff* just press the effects button to edit it , it doesnt have to be really heavy gain ;)

  • Any one else have a lot of unwanted noise with this amp? I've had it about 8 months and when i first got it I loved it, but now that I have found the particular sound that I want to play, the Vypyr can't perform at all. A I get a lot of loud just scratching randomly, picking up radio frequencies. I will say having all those effects is really neat, but I would not recommend this amp to anyone. I really wish I would have dished out the extra $200 and gotten the 6505 1-12 60watt combo by Peavey.

  • Is it tru wat RiceKiller191 is saying??!! Does dis happen in ur amp??!

  • @1Haresha1 Maybe i just got a Lemon, I don't know because I've heard good things about this Amp, but honestly I can't stand it. Not to mention it changes my presets for me and adjusts my tone? Don't ask me how but it does. If looking for a cheap decent Amp, The Fender Mustang is pretty nice. I decided to get a Half stack. Picked up a working Laney GS412L (Iommi) cab for $25! Just waiting for my Vypyr to sell to get my Head lol. Much better Amps than the Vypyr. Shop around. My advise to you.

  • @1Haresha1 no haresha roc killer just got a broken amp my amp probably from the store he got it from. dont worry this amp wont dissapoint! ofcourse you might wanna try it out for yourself before you get it if you please but you can hear it in this video and the accusations he is making about the scratching noise isnt obviously happening

    thnx for the question!

  • @RiceKiller191 hahahaha!! bro just because you got a shitty broken amp doesnt mean that all vypyr amps are broken. look bro this is for questions about the amp for people who want to buy it not people who already has one and is looking to bash on it anyway. much respect on getting a good amp but i dont need to hear what you have to say about my amp.

  • @synystergates151 Not bashing on you're amp, I said maybe I got a Lemon, as in a bad one of the bunch. Also said I have heard good things about the amp. I'm just giving him some helpful advise. The Fender Mustang is a nicer Amp and it's cheaper. Giving him more input if he is looking for an Amp to shop around. And Yep! My Vypyr isn't scratchy at all! And you would know too since you own my Amp! And you've heard mine too so you know what it does more than I would! Cuz I don't own it!!

  • @synystergates151 And I said something about you and you're amp! Not just giving examples of why I would never buy one again from what mine does!

  • @RiceKiller191 and thats good! look man im just sorry if you didnt find this amp useful. good looks on your amp and thnx for the comment!

  • i love your voice no homo

  • Im ordering this amp tonight :D + I <3 Syn :D

  • haha i cant wait til i get this amp..just orderd it today

  • @charg2456 nie bro!

  • @synystergates151 yea you dont have to find time to do those vids since im getting it late today or tomarrow

  • @charg2456 sorry bro been busy recording

  • @synystergates151 oh its cool man

  • @charg2456 HOLY SHIT ME TOO

  • rec = mesa boogie dual rectifier

  • @devilsmonkey1 got it! thnx!

  • how.heavy.is.it?

  • @jamessmith1701 hahahaha!! hell yes it is fucking heavy

  • @synystergates151

I need help man. I am trying to decide what to get.

Right now, I'm sorta really new to guitars, and have a bc rich warlock, and, a gio ibanez. I have this little peavey backstage ll amp.

I can either get a Jackson JS32T Rhoads guitar. or this amp. what should I get?

like i said. new to guitars, i have no pedals or effects of any kind.just amp and guitar.

  • @jamessmith1701 thats a tough one bro. i mean if there is really no way for you to get both then i would have to go with the amp. the guitar is important but anamp is much much more crucial when it comes to playing. tell you what bro since you said your new to guitar then why dont you just get a lower wattage version of this maybe the 30 watt version and get a new guitar along with it and may i reccomend the ibanez rg2ex1. if ur new then you wont need something this loud for moment, thnx!

  • @synystergates151

is.the only difference between the 75 and 30 watt the volume?

  • @jamessmith1701 prettey much. but the 30 watt does not have a power sponge wich isnt such a big deal

  • @synystergates151

    So....I.wont.lose.any.features.with.the.30.watt?

  • @jamessmith1701 not that i know of. i can guarantee you that it will have enough features to satisfy you!

  • @synystergates151

    thanksfor.all.the.help.

    im.trying.to.get.a.BFMV,type.sound

  • @jamessmith1701 youll get it

  • @jamessmith1701 The 30 watts version doesn't have the usb audio interface.

  • @DeloreanDoom i.dontwanna.sound.slow.

    but.what's.that?

  • @jamessmith1701 its basically just a usb port so you can connect it to your computer. unless your gonna get super technical with it then you wont need it. i dont even use it.

  • @jamessmith1701

It's useful to record with a multitrack program like cubase, or guitar rig, or both.

If you don't plan on recording on your computer, you won't need this.

Otherwise, it's a good investment to buy 75w because you won't need any other recording interface (like M-Audio Fast track for example).

  • Can you bypass all the efects and distorsions from the amp, and use it with multi fx procesor ? Thanks : )

  • @GigoTheDoctor yup! hahhaha thats what i donow i just use a weeping demon wah with a line 6 uber metal

  • is it loud enough to play with drums?

  • @bravawa yup

  • im getting this with a gibson les paul standard whole thing is about $2,500

  • @DONTKILLYOURPARENTS FCK YEAH!

  • You my friend are awesome

  • if i dont get this for christmas im gonna be mad..haha

  • @charg2456 wish really hard then

  • @synystergates151 hey can you do a video of like alot of its clean sounds? and a seperate one of metal? if you can do those tell me

  • @charg2456 ill try man, if i find the time then you got it!

  • rec is rectifier...

  • Is it too loud for practicing in a bedroom?

  • @CannedBullets nah dude there are volume settings so you can tweak that to be as low as you want

  • @CannedBullets Get some headphones aha

  • @fireblast111 lol!

  • I must own this..

  • @Servant0fSteel yes you must

  • @Servant0fSteel get the tube 60!

  • @razzmire lol its a gud amp to but i couldt afford it

  • WHAT'S WITH GUITARISTS SAYING THEY SUCK WHEN THEY'RE SHREDDING SO AMAZINGLY.

  • @TheAntiHeroHimself hahahha well thanks man but it really wasnt that gud.

  • You've got some awesome Gear there. I love those V7 and V8 pick-ups. I love the Amp even more !!

  • @torquemenistan Thanks man! actually the rg 351mh has inf4 and inf 3 pickups which in my opinion are better!

  • @synystergates151 Ohh Hahahah. My bad. Well, my friend has got the same guitar like yours, he's got the v7 and v8 installed in them. I thought they were standard. Never really bothered asking him.

  • @MagicalGuitarNinja the guitar acctually sounds prettey awesome on clean. it sounds alot better with a little crunch!

  • does the pedal do anything besides allow u to switch between things without touching the amp? like if i just wanted to play thru it with sum distortion, is it still a good amp?

  • @tico7464 yes! it is still an awesome amp! thats really what i did with this amp for the first few months until my band needed some songs in clean so i bought a distortion pedal. but YeS it works perfectly as a stand alone distortion amp. if i may make a reccomendation with the distortion. use either the 6505 or the krankenstein combined with the tube screamer and edit the tube screamer a lil so it wont have too much hum. but feel free to exlplore all the posibilities of this amp!

  • @synystergates151 thx man

  • the 6505 is a peavey amp, not ibanez.

  • @curt1235 yeah man i meant to correct that i just got confused with my guitar being an ibanez. sorry about that.

  • without the footswitch this amp is almost useless

  • @codename40 no its not.

  • @synystergates151 so tell me, when you play a song with your band , or you play live , and you need to jiggle with the effects , what do you do ?

  • @codename40 well to tell you the truth i have a pedal board now i dont have the footswitch. but when i used to play live shows before i got my pedals i set it to one distortion that i want and used that for the rest of the song. not every fucking song has 20 effects man sometimes people are set with one distortion. and look man if you think its useless without it then buy the fucking pedal

  • @synystergates151 don't get me wrong , this amp is exactly what im looking for , but i dont have the money for the pedal , i just dont want to be frustrated of losing its full versatility ... that's what im afraid of, cuz i wanna switch between clean and dist and shit

  • @codename40 bro the sanpera 1 pedal is $99 i belive but if you buy it in guitar center then i think it comes free with it. all i can tell you for now that this amp is great and if you cant afford the vypyr 75 with the sanpera then switch to the 30 watt version so you can buy the sanpera with it.

  • idk y people say reverse sucks and its their for nothing. idk if u guys here deathcore and stuff but they use reverse sometimes wen their goin into their breakdowns

  • @BOAProductions1 dude i dont any songs that use that effect. but even there is one then bravo! begginer guitarist will enjoy this effect for a lil bit but will most likely find really annoying. dude if you find it fun then thats great but i personally find it usless. thanx for the comment!

  • I just bought one of these. I played one in a store, then bought one online that day. I'm so pumped! I can't wait until it gets here.

  • @lotrgmaster dude thats awesome! enjoy it!

  • do you think its enought wattage for not playing with a drum ??

  • @Triszo dude this thing can over power a drumset.but if your not playing with a drum you can tone down the volmue too.

  • just bought this same amp. cant wait for it to get here along with my kirk hammet wah =D

  • @jptzy thats awesome bro! im not a big metallica fan because i love MEGADETH but i like them. the amp can get a really good thrash metal sound

  • rec is short for mesa boogie rectifier

  • Thanks for putting this up you have helped me to make up my mind and which amp to choose Line ^ Spider4 or Peavey Vypyr 75 and I chose the Peavey based on your demo of the clean amp models. Thanks

  • @doneaster thnx man glad i can help!

  • nice review! And a great amp!

  • @guitargod8995 IT IS!! lmao! thnx so much man!

  • @synystergates151 no problem man. Keep up the with the reviews. they are very good.

  • good review, really helped :D

  • @MrRandyRhoads1996 thnx man! glad it helped!

  • Lol, I just ordered the black RG321 and the 30W Vypyr. I was already interested in this setup, but this review and a cover of beauty and the beast with this setup made me decide on buying it. Good Review.

The Rec I believe emulates a Mesa Boogie Rectifier amp or a rectifier tube amp, great for Metallica tone from Ride the Lightning.

  • @rampage222555 agreed! thnx man!

  • Good job man :) i liked your review.

  • OMFG dude , iv seen the future, i want this exact setup, iv been looking at this guitar and amp for mouths now, but never got to play it, how is the guitar, do you think it sounds good, i already know the neck is super fast from my friends ibanez rg2ex1, i already got all the information i need from the previous comments below about the amp, thanks so much for this review

  • dude the guitar is sick! great tone especially for hard rock and metal! it also has a warm clean tone. and yes the neck is super fast! one ting though is that it can get battle scars very easily because of its finish but sound wise it is awesome and has an awesome comfortable body

    thnx for the comment

  • hey man do you know if this amp is loud enough to use for small gigs? and how's the tone quality when you turn it up? also, how does it compare to the line 6 spider series? sorry for all the questions but i need to know...

  • hell yeah the volume is high enough for atleast auditorium gigs. it is definetley strong enough. the tone quality when you turn it up doesnt fade and if your at a low volume then you just crank up the power sponge. i would say that this is definetley better than the line 6 sound but the line 6 insane distortion has a better heavy metal sound but only by a hair. but this thing has a better everything else especially clean and crunch. and also a very awesome heavy distortion.

  • thanks a lot for actually responding! i asked everywhere but everyone ignores me. thanks for the review and everything, and the advice. i'll definitely try to get the vypyr now. one thing though, the way you select and go through effects is kinda confusing though, do you use the low middle, high knobs to adjust depth and length?

  • well the vypyr isnt as user freindly as the line 6 but you will get used to it in a matter of hours. you use the mid, treble, etc. knobs when your trying to edit you effect or distortion. thnx man

  • thanks for the information. my band will benefit quite a bit from this! but not my wallet. hahaha

  • good review man just try to vary your playing styles a bit and show how it would benefit other styles of music

  • @kmcgimsey will do bro! thnx

  • Thanks for the review, I thought it rocked! dont let negative comments get to you...they are usually posted by douchbags that are just trying to get a rise out of you.

  • thnx so much man! and yeah i guess some of em are douches but i can take it! lmao! anyway thanks for the comment man! and im glad you like it

  • great amp man.. gonna get in dis weekend...

  • awesome man! you wont regret it!

  • why don't you just play your amp rather then posting a review that obviously no one likes.

and i'm pretty sure the 6505 amp channel is based on peavey 6505 amps, not ibanez

  • im sorry you dont like it man.. i tried my best. i just wanted to show people the capabilities of the amp. anyway im very sorry you didnt like. plus yes that was an honest mistake. i was using an ibanez guitar so i confused the peavey 6505 to ibanez.

    i apologize,

  • fuck off nick who ever you are
