To my very limited biology knowledge, that RES is amphibian but not a fish, seems to me the poor fellow wants to stay afloat and inhale some air. It should be able to walk and stay outside the water for many periods of time or it might drown.

@w1lp34 She does have a platform but she rarely gets on it, she prefers to be in the water, she just comes out to eat, she likes to swim.

I have a RES named Stinky too. She's much larger than yours though.

Aww, thanks! My husband found her and brought her home so we tried to give her a good home, she has a 20 gallon tank all for herself! :P and we bought her those fish so she could eat them, but instead they eat her food! Hahaha
