One thing the VA can do is to stop their games with PTSD folks. Mine was first diagnosed as simply "an adjustment disorder". The rage fits, the depression, wearing emotions on my sleeve, the dreams of explosions waking me up, the sleepwalking, the memory problems...yet they said it was an adjustment disorder. I was blown up twice over there and because of my CAB paperwork disappearing in theater, I was told without that CAB, I have no way of proving I was in combat. Luckily I had copies...

i laugh at that... i dont believe it works... has anyone out there ever tried it and had it work??? if so, let me know that im wrong...ive had ptsd for 19 years now and my own psychiatrist says there is nothing they can do for me... ptsd sucks and i just want to get better...

Hi Katie more needs to be done to address the PTSD systoms that are afecting our solder and veterans. The truth is that creating group session at VA hopitals can contribute to veterans mental health recovery and by veteran sharing their experience can help them to release their pain and dark memories. As a veteran I feel so proud of the Veteran Administration they provide the best care to everyone that enter there facilty with a caring professional staff

I suffer PTSD why? In the late 50's the CIA had a secret brainwash program code name MKUltra. They paid a Dr Cameron in Montreal to carry it out. He injected LSD with other drugs, massive electric shocks and weeks of seep as a brainwash tape played. It was horrific. I also suffer from PTSD and play Call of Duty It seems to calm me down somewhat hearing familar sounds, granted it's set in WW2 but the sounds were the same.

@armynightsniper my dad served in korea and he told me that the worset part of ptsd is being sent home from war and the job is not done being sent home well all your friends and people you know are over thare dieng and thare is nothing you can do. i suffer from ptsd from seing my sister who has MD crash in my arms more than 4 times her almost geting killed buy a car hitting her. its hard but i dose gett better in life its hard but it takes a long time

@drummerboy139 well thanks for asking, when she crashed on the meds at made her heart stop and i had to do cpr the emt said that her poulse was so low that it was like she was dead. thats what i was trying to get by but she was white and cold.

@armynightsniper Same here!!! I have PTSD and my girlfriend always asks how I can play Call of Duty Games and not be that bothered by it. This is going to sound a little funny and crazy at the same time, but here goes: I love it when I am playing and I feel like I have a sense of control over the atmosphere that I'm in. I can really get into playing, I have my tv up loud and not a bother at all most of the time, I've had a shock or two, but it is a great game. Fireworks scare the crap out of me.

I think that her statements are on par with the VA's statements that the Gulf War Illness was just a figment of our imaginations. For over five years they denied that the problems even existed. F cking Ass H les.

Our PTSD, severe depression, high rates of suicide and substance addiction, chronic situational stress reaction, etc., are attributed to false, romanticized notions about natural families. They censor the fact that children are needlessly taken from their loving parents by fraudulent means so affluent infertile strangers can buy babies. Adoption is a multibillion-dollar industry and media executives are involved.

I went down the prolonged exposure route of treatment and i agree with you 100%. You just dont care anymore, im not sure if that pruduces a cured patient or a timebomb. lets wait and see

maybe katie needs to crawl through a burnt baby, clean body parts off a street, watch her friend die next to her,clean someone elses blood and body parts form every orafice of her body, have a huge oil tank explode next to her, scrape dead friends off the deck of a ship, listen to someone burn to death, hear a bullet whistle by your head, pull a sea snake bit bloated corpse of a shipmate from the gulf.and then sit there in your safe office and tell me reliving all that with a shrink will help
