Had he landed on his head he would have been dead. Thank god he survived and was able to win two golds a few days after this happened. It is such an incredible sporting feat.

I laughed soooo hard when I saw this live. The previous skier wiped out on the same corner (not even 1/4 as bad) and this jerk got on the camera and started mouthing off about how everyone else was too inexperienced for this course.

skiing downhill iosnt that dangerous you know. I do almost everyday of the winter. It's wicked fun and perfectly safe. But races can be dangerous. I've fallen in a race and i cut my face pretty bad and didn't ski for a week

I know. I race for a club, and I meant the downhill discipline. Downhill is the riskiest discipline, with speeds of over 90 MPH and massive turns that can send you flying off the side of a moutain.
