hey, unfortunately i am nowhere good enough to give you advice - you can find a good deal of info on the internet, perhaps including some instructive videos on youtube ;)
well, i guess if i can give any advice at all then it would be: Patience! :) and don't use too strong an air-flow.
I love it! I saw Farmers Market last year in Holland finally! Have been enjoying their music since 2004 and thus know this song by heart. You have done a real good job here, very nice!
Saw Farmers Market live with a full orchestra a few days ago here in Oslo and came back with my eyes soaked in tears from both musical beauty, craftmanship and humour. Norwegian TV and radio did record the event. Can't wait...
oh i envy you so much!!! its good to hear that they are still performing - the last time i went to their website they haven't been updating it for years. if you get your hands on the TV recording please drop me a line! i never seen them (neither live nor on video).
oh and thank you very much for the comment - i am glad that someone who loves farmers market liked my arrangement! :)
if you like Balkans music be sure to give a listen to these bands:
Taraf de Haidouks, Fanfare Ciocarlia (both Romanians), Besh o droM (Hungary), Kocani Orkestar (Macedonia), Ivo Papazov and Yuri Yunakov (Bulgaria). Plus there got to be a large number of amazing Greek-Macedonian and Turkish Gypsy bands i don't know.
I can see you love this music; it shows. I think it would benefit you if you tried to be less "pretty" sounding; it sounds like a Brahms Concerto, which is cool for Brahms, but is a little boring for Bulgaria! ;:^) Also try to play the things that aren't written on the page...
hey, thanks for the comment! i agree it does sound a bit more like chamber music than balkans folk :) although it is also true that bulgaria is filtered through norway, hungary and the usa - it would be great to play this music with some bulgarian gypsies so i could learn some of the magic (if it is possible to learn at all:) (so far i took part in a very short workshop by two of the demi-gods, Yuri Yunakov and Ivo Papazov, but it really was too short...)
hey! thanks very much for the comment, i agree i prefer to play without sheet music, we just didn't have enough rehearsals for that (we played these songs twice or thrice before the concert:). I am playing this very piece without sheet music though, just didn't bother removing the stands. Please let me know if You have other suggestions! Best, Gergely
They are really great, I listened to them alot when I was a kid :)

I've got a recording of this concert if you want. No video, but a good quality recording.

Yup, what a great concert that was.

Nice, I feel it should have been performed faster, but look like it would have been hard.

Beautiful music but it would be great if you would perform without note stands. It's like a wall between you and the audience.
