  • i love Perahia playign chopin.

  • OMGGGGGGG!! This is the best interpretation EVER!! I listened many such as RUbinstein, Zimerman, young and old Arrau, Argerich, Moravec, Cortot, Ashknazy etc. And I am a beginner piano player myself. This is the very best interpreatation bar none. THE WORLD CAN SHAME ON ITSELF THAT THIS GETS 7600 VIEWS AND SNOOP DOG AND JUSTIN BIEBER MILLIONS...

  • @Elsenrail29 Thank you, I agree with you: the most beautiful music, the one who tranport our emotions in the deep of the hearts of the genious, is, in this time, losing fans.

  • @Elsenrail29 ...try some of the other people from the Russian School, and also Malcuzynski...Michelangeli...does Pogorelich do this?...

  • @fredericfranc I already listened to Pogorelich and Michelangeli I also recently listened to Ashkenazy's version I recommend it to everyone...

  • @Elsenrail29 You said it it is the best by far in every way possible.

  • @TheGreatPerahia Recently I heard the version of Vlado Perlemuter... It is on par with this one. Please check. It is in youtube too. Regards

  • @Elsenrail29 ok thanks i will check that one out.

  • @Elsenrail29 well said! :)

Troppo spesso ci fanno ascoltare soltanto i fiori! Qui, per fortuna, no...

  • This one and Zimerman's are my favorite interpretations. Different approaches but to me equally great.

  • excellent sound, love it!

  • Very good one!

  • Perfect! Bravo

  • Maestro Murray Perahia has managed to capture the drama of this Ballade. The phrasing is immaculate; he makes the piano sing, just as Chopin had intended. He uses varied colours and devotes himself to the playing of this melancholic Ballade. From the pp to f, he carefully crafts his notes such that his listeners gets carried with him through such a masterpiece. What a treat! He can equal Artur Rubinstein in this Ballade.

  • @lifeingod7 "The Greatest pianist; the greatest artist; the greatest musician" of his generation. "A Prince of pianists" this Chopin ballade is played with such majesty, insight, musicality and technical mastery, its a sheer joy to listen to. All four ballades were voted in the top 100 recordings of all time and i suspect the greatest recording of all time alongside Rubinstein of these great works.

  • Can listen to this a thousand times and not get sick of it. Murray Perahia's interpretation is amazing.

  • @ayxa92 Yes

  • I agree completely with you Guillermo; no matter how many interpretations I hear (incl Cherkassky's and Horowitz's) of this piece, Murray's outshines them all. That middle chord never fails to make me shiver with pleasure. After this and Barcarole - what other piano music is there, apart from a Mozart concerto or two? :)
