Get the lyrics correct, keep a constant timing, and don't try anything fancy with your voice and maybe you could produce a halfways decent cover.

This is a sad, slow song, so you really shouldn't be trying to do anything fancy with your voice.

@clk22 Oh Really? Despite the fact that in many performances of this song Sam Beam himself does "fancy" stuff with his voice inbetween verses such as some falsetto harmonising. If the originator says it's allowed then it's allowed and even if he doesn't then it's still allowed anyway - there's no rule book.

i believe (this may not be exact), but i play this song using Em C G D... that simple. Those four chords in that order and just keep repeating. hope that helps!!
