I'm a bit alarmed by the rabbit is being handled in this video. There's no harm in occasionally bathing a rabbit (provided it's dried off thoroughly and no water gets in the ears), but the way the poor thing is thrashing is dangerous. Rabbits allowed to kick like that can break their own backs and sever their spinal cords. We've had to euthanize rabbits after they've injured themselves that way. I hope this owner does some more research before poor Oreo ends up injured.
bunnies are pretty clean and only need to be bathed when they have matting in their fur. head and ears are not good for getting wet. you know that feel you get when someone wet willies you? now imagine it when you have those huge floppy ears. not a fun experience.
i have a pet rabbit, and there are times you need to wash them. even though they wash themselves, there are spots that they can't reach, for example, butt area (when poop sticks on the hair, you can take it off it with your hands but when its urine, it's a different story)
Ok 1- the poor baby is terrified 2- you really shouldn't bathe it in water any higher than its feet 3- you have to get it used to water and most importantly u should use a bathtub that is unfilled and use a detachable shower head on a low setting to rinse/wet ur rabbit.
If u cant follow these four simple rules, then u should just go out and dry shampoo it!

Ok 1- the poor baby is terrified 2- you really shouldn't bathe it in water any higher than its feet 3- you have to get it used to water and most importantly u should use a bathtub that is unfilled and use a detachable shower head on a low setting to rinse/wet ur rabbit.
If u cant follow these four simple rules, then u should just go out and dry shampoo it!

That poor bunny is terrified!! No water should ever go in a bunny's ears! If you want to bathe your bunny, buy special wipes that they sell for bunnies. I just give my bunny a rub down with those and he's extra clean and smells baby fresh too!

While I agree that rabbits would need a real bath when the time comes, mine doesn't seem to need one at all.
She's so clean, that she actually smells like baby powder. And I don't even remember buying baby powder for the past few years.

sometimes rabbits realli need a bath, my rabbit used to be covered in wee and he wasnt happy about it after he was washed and dry the little chap fell asleep on my lap it sure calms a bunny down

It's okay to bathe your rabbit once or twice A YEAR. But that is only if it is VERY filthy and it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Also, your rabbit is terrified of water, so it's best not to bathe him. :(

Don't do that to the rabbit. It is abuse!! If you love your and care for your rabbit do not give it a bath or put it in pool water or just water. The rabbit produce a chemical when put thru extreme stress like he is and it will eventually kill him or cause him GI Stasis. That is when your rabbit stops fecal pellets or stops eating. The intestinal track shuts down. They need to be rushed to vet or they will DIE!! Please listen to the comments. It is not funny. Google Bunnybunch for help & info

Bunnies don't need baths...it's dangerous! if he's filthy take a wet cloth, clean him and rub him dry, no hairdryer! that's all it takes. if you love your bunny you don't bathe anymore, will kill him one day.
