  • for me it's to hasty and played with a lot of passion...

  • Critics are people that generally cannot do whatever it is they are criticizing. They feel the should have an opinion on someone's hard work and put them down. I happen to love this performance. I think they did an awesome job. One last thing: electric cellos do not need to sound like acoustic cellos. They are electric purposely. No one complains about electric and acoustic guitars sounding different. So, why do it for the cello? Get that stick out of your rear and enjoy the music.

  • wow! how cool!!

  • amazing save at 0:28

  • I would rather have an electronic cello or violin for classical music than no classical at all. Stop complaining.

  • Not a cover of Tommy Emmanuel, but rather heavily influenced by his arrangement.

  • This is a cover of Tommy Emmanuel's arrangement and well done. It's an interesting sound combo.

  • She moves like a robot

  • superb!

  • dos genios ! nada mas que decir

  • the stupid comments probably because she treats cello like some hillbillie instrument.

  • @Piccobow That is what a Cello sounds like

  • this video deserves no less than 5 stars. That's it, that's all I can say. And around 2:24 there's a bit of an echo it seems that accents so lovely. I just love this too much. I want an electric cello too, so that I can experiment. Until then my acoustic and I will journey the musical realm together.

  • i'd have a hell of a time trying to find fourth position with that electric

  • i concur

  • @fchu There is a brass button on the back of the neck that tells you where 4th position would be. One thing I have noticed though, People who us the NS electric cellos rarely use thumb positions, even if they are playing where you would normally use the thumb. Because the neck meets the body almost at the end of the fingerboard, you can access the higher notes and not require a thumb position to do so. But the little brass button helps you find where in the neck that would happen.

  • Why is everyone having a cry on what cello she is playing? It sounds awesome, let the lady play what ever the hell she wants.

  • I'm amazed at the pretty stupid comments here. Not only are John and Jen are great musicians they are wonderfully kind people. I saw them live at Ashland Coffee and Tea in Virginia. The NS Cello has its place. It is a great instrument that a allows the cellist more freedom. John and Jen keep up the great work. Jen I hope you're feeling better. Cheers, Mark.

  • this is good but I get annoyed with classical-mindset players doing the whole... showboating thing.

  • what in the hell is wrong with that....i like classical but i think you are a snob..........

  • awesome!

  • i dont like the estetics of an electric cello

it makes it look soulles and dead

  • i love this

  • This is awesome...

She used reverb on the electric cello, may be another reason... Plus it appears to have more strings.

  • i want one of those ns design electric cellos so bad

  • -drool- too cool!

  • It's one of may favourite videos, but I think the reverb effect is unnecessary.

  • Interesting apparatus for keeping that electric cello upright while the lady is moving around on stage. Hip brace + shoulder straps it looks like?

  • skills!

  • Cool stuff!

  • Fantastic.

  • beautiful very well played - andy dunnigan whitefish, MT
