The waters of reason? How about the Water of Life? The only thing one should be concerned with is where they will spend eternity. The only proof one needs is that soneday you will be dead. In Pascal's wager, he never mentions hell as a consequence. If you die to find out hell isnt true, then youve lost nothing. If u die & find out its true, u lose absolutely everything. How's that 4 reason? So logically, to NOT believe is folly. I think what was meant was "Come on in...the fire's HOT!
The number of chromosomes of a species has little to do with the complexity of the organism or the amount of DNA. Jackrabbits, hares, cultivated tobacco, and most types of potato also have 48 chromosomes. Does that mean jackrabbits, hares, tobacco, and potatoes came from our magical common ancestor too? Obviously not. Guppies, like humans, also have 46 chromosomes. Obviously no relation there. Chromosome count is irrelevant towards proving Evolution.
once again a christian try to explain away evidence by saying "god musta done it", by the way neandtherthals are known to be very very intelligent, and while this is not proof of it, they had brains atleast as big and possibly bigger than hours.... sheesh, why dont you admit to your self that you know Christianity is a load of crap and allow yourself to wade into the water of reason... come on in.... the waters fine
The fusion of human chromsome 2 is 'end-to-end' which is not found in nature.
Recent evidence has shown that distinctly human genes existed at the time of the fusion. See wikipedia article chimpanzee_genome_project.
Conclusion: 2 humans were created with 48 chromsomes in Genesis 1, and by Genesis 4 had 46, therefore the alteration to 46 took place at the curse in Genesis 3, which also introduced the ill effects of random fusions.
You should take the bible literally. It is meant to be literal. The bible clearly shows that the earth is only a little over 6,000 years old, not millions.
Adam's male offspring but not his female ones should be missing a rib. If the sons were missing a rib, wouldn't the daughters be missing one, too?
"Third, there is nothing in the Bible that says exactly how many ribs Adam started out with, or how many ribs we should have, is there? So you have no compelling reason to believe that in taking a rib from Adam, God left all his male offspring one short.
And there is no creditable evidence to support Lamarckian inheritance. So you've actually got several problems here. First, Lamarckian inheritance doesn't work. Why should Adam's loss of a rib affect his children? Second, everyone has ribs, men and women alike. Ribs certainly aren't a sex-linked trait like excessive facial hair or a scrotum. So there's no reason I can think of that
This idea of the chromosome 2 fusion having some kind of mention in the biblical creation account occurred to me, and I entered the idea into the search bar, bringing up this video. As a Theistic Evolutionist I have researched the topic of the harmony of the biblical creation account with our modern understanding of human evolution, and this little tid bit of a idea that you and I (and others, Im sure) have stumbled upon is definitely worth further investigation. Good job.
How do you know He didn't? Billions have agreed the Father of Jesus Christ made all things, or put the processes in motion.
Is it possible they're right?
You could say many believe in this religion or that religion, so that's no proof your God is God. But just because there are some false religions doesn't mean the true religion is false.
Either way, we could accuse each other of a logical fallacy, but I have to stand on what I know to be true.

That's bold of you to say. Genesis 1-3 is clearly metaphorical, so how can you say with any confidence it's a myth? You're merely giving your opinion.
As education increases, belief in the occult (such as gods and myths found in holy old books) decreases. Some times no amount of education will help lift the bloody veil of superstition and cult indoctrination.
That's just not true. Education has nothing to do with it. As already pointed out, there are a lot of highly educated and intelligent men that believe in God, both past and present.
You say this assuming you're right about there not being a God, when many well educated and intelligent men reasonably conclude there is a God.
That is why cults are trying to destroy public education in the USA. It is why Nazi Germany banned science books and mandated prayer to Jesus in public schools. Education destroys occult beliefs.
I will agree with you partly. Education and knowledge can rightly destory belief in some myths and the like, but we can't conclude that just because some things are myth, in regards to religion, then all must be myth.
there is more interest in the occult and spiritualism and other non-secular religious beliefs because we are not at a time where interest in such a thing would have been deemed herecy.
nice thought, very creative:)

It is consciousness that makes us "human" and consciousness in itself is relative.

How do you know it was the gods in Genesis that did it? Maybe it was Tinkerbell.

Dude, it's a fairy tale. You were supposed to stop believing in fairy tales by the time you were 6 years old.

Many think so and many don't. I think a few will find this idea interesting and, of course, a few will take it for delusion.

Children think so and adults don't.

What does Education have to do with believing in God?
Francis Collins believes in God/Jesus Christ, as did Oxford Scholar C.S. Lewis, etc., etc., etc.
I can name a huge list of highly intelligent and educated men that believe in God and Jesus Christ.

I mentioned nothing about gods: I mentioned fairy tales, such as the myths in Genesis.

Yes, many educated people belief in gods. They also believe in astrology, esp, Scientology, palm reading, and abduction by space aliens.
She or he is 100% correct: the better educated one is, the less one believes in gods.
