I love the sound of the bands from the 90's.. It's not over engineered or over produced. Everything now sounds epic, like it's supposed to be in a movie or something. It's seems synthetic. Auto-tuning and over-use of digital affects,.. It doesn't match this kind of sound. My opinion anyway. Probably just getting old.
