hey very nice videos by the way..im am currently looking at a 07 rev 800r 151 adrenaline with 1600 miles and bone stock and asking 4800$.. read in your previous comments that its neither good or bad..whats your thought on this buy? thanks
@MrMcat101 If it's stock and your looking to make a mountain machine out of it your looking at a few light modifications, Clutch kit is a must, floating secondary spacer and free stuff like tearing all the foam out and taping the holes on the back side of the airbox to stop the sled from sucking in belt dust, venting is always a great idea. Your probably going to want a seat if your over 5' 7" and if it has challanger lite track tell em to take 500off. Seems a bit high, see how much he'll budge.
@Maverick800XRS thanks for the info! (: and im just wondering about realiability issues? people say the clutches are bad and is always needs work.. and is the challenger lite track bad? and a new seat? are you talking like the previous years or like a boss seat?
@MrMcat101 as far as reliablity goes there great, the only issue they have in that matter is when is the motor going to got... Like any sled the top end must be rebuilt at X number of miles and bottem end at X. Nothing wrong with the clutches it's just the components inside them... Get urself a Dynamo Joe clutch kit and you won't be happier. Challanger lite isn't so great in fluffy powder but i did ride mine for 2 years and stomped guys... You want aftermarket seat but thats ur preference too.
Loving your videos bro, keep em coming. As we are gearing up to do some riding here in the Rocky Mountains just outside of Denver, watching your vids get the blood pumping. Keep tearing it, thanks for sharing.
That is some greaat powder my friend, i went up to Terrace BC this last winter, not to far away from were i live. Some great Powder up there, I was very suprised.
last time i went riding i was following this guys track through the trees and im like damn this guys good because i dident see h=the ski marks so i keep following him and he leads me to a bridge that 2 feet down because of the snow on both sides so i head to rail up it it was hard Pinned
@lovemyskidoo Boulder parking lot is roughly 4500ft, the main riding areas and bowls are ranging from 5000-6000ft (if my memory serves me right) you could easily goggle or look at revelstokes snowmobiling website.
When this was filmed it was a 159X16X2.25 challenger lite, worst track ever made for powder snow. But i just rode the hell out of it and seemed to work good :)
Glad you liked it. This was filmed last year, this year everywhere is hurting for snow... First ride out with all the upgrades i bent a suspension rail on a rock, fixed it when sledge and 2X4 haha. Most areas still have open creeks and tree's/rocks showing that are usually covered. Found 2 open creeks this weekend which are usually closed for a long time by now. Hoping it picks up soon...
I was pleasantly surprised that they brought back the XRS model, the shocks it comes with look like that alone makes it worth while to purchase. If i ever upgrade to the XP ill probably be looking at one of those :P
the mountain version of the rev must really make a huge difference...how did you not get stuck...i own an 03 rev 800 trail version and id have to have it pinned the whole way up and down that mountain in a straight line to MAYBE make it haha
It's all about how much track you have on the snow and how deep your paddles are, the bigger the footprint you have the more flotation you have, the easier it is to ride in deep snow and climb. This REV is a 159 track length with 2 1/4 paddles, your trail sled is probably a 136 with a 1" bar track, not very mountain worthy, so YES, the mountain version makes a huge difference, but only because of the longer track and deeper paddles :) There's a lot more to it, but in a nut shell :)
Glad you liked it!!! Really hoping to get some great footage this year, i missed a few days last year where filming would have been AMAZING!!! thats what u get when u figure "oh i won't get any filming or nice weather today, then it turns out to be the best...." *always bring you CAMERA!!!*
Thnx, don't forget to check out Part 2 of this vid, all of it was shot on the same day, had to make 2 parts because it was so long :P. The helmet cam has really been a great investment, really enjoying it. Revy is where i always wanna, go, it has it all :D always good riding to be had there...
Awesome Vid man...normaly i dont check 9minutes Video until thye End...but this got me stiked...i juste cant Wait !..took my Sled for a ride yesterday
Thnx dood, ya it was just one of those days... everything was just awesome. Alright !!! mines still in pieces, i usually don't get my first ride in till some time around Christmas.
It was pretty cheap for what you get... the camera itself fits in your palm with room to spare (with amazing picture quality & sound) comes with different mounts and such for the camera, and with the case you put it in, it's indestructible. I bought mine from the sled show with batteries and memory card for $250 (not totally sure that was last year around this time).
No doubt :D my buddy was sitting ontop the hill there and said it looked like i was trying to do a back flip LOL, too bad he never had the camera out. Thanks !!!
@Maverick800XRS well montain riding is fun totaly but im 13 and only weigh 80 pounds and i have a little trouble sidehilling my XRS...Any solutions.
