  • Thank you SO much! This was extremely helpful! :D Putting the cat on the towel vs. trying to wrap a cat in a towel while hes standing is much much easier. Also, having the cat on its back is brilliant! Pill goes right in! So far I got my Bengal to take 19 Metronidazole pills in the past few weeks for Giardia, thanks to you! <3

  • This worked much better than any other method I've tried. My cat still wriggled quite a bit once she realised what was happening, but there was no spitting out of the pill or missing her mouth. Thank you :)

  • If you tried this with our cat Biggles he'd swipe your head off before you got the towel anywhere near him. I grind the tablet down and mix with a little cream...he takes it no problem that way.

  • OMG! We've been trying to pill my kittie every 12 hours & it is so hard! But we almost lost him to undetected heart disease, so whatever it takes to keep him healthier as long as we can....

  • OMG im so glad you made this video! After trying the way several others showed I had almost given up on giving my cat medicine myself. This work right away though and I didnt get my finger bitten off. Thank you so much!

  • dude, overly dramatic music - makes me more scared of giving a cat a pill than the cat is swallowing it.

  • @MissBassoonaroo The music is as dramatic as my cat is about taking medicine!

  • That's great! We're so glad to be able to help!

Our Mia ( The cat in the video ) is still hanging

in there even though she has an irreversible and fatal condition. Cats are amazing animals

that have enriched all of our lives.....

  • Many thanks for this video. Our cat got very sick suddenly and stopped eating and drinking. In spite of two instructional sessions from the vet, we still didn't know how to give him his meds or force feed him. We were almost at our wits' end when we found your video. It was the most helpful video by far. Using the cocoon and burrito method, we were finally able to give him his meds plus the food he needs this morning.

  • thanks for that great instructional-it gives me confidence in trying to give my cat her drontal pill-last night I tried with no luck...

  • This is great.....thanks. this is one of those things you wonder about and struggle with when you own a pet,,,, especially a cat.....does this work on kids?

  • I love the background music. That's exactly what it is for me. Mission impossible.

  • Our wonderful (actually BEST cat we ever had), Eartha, was a big ninny when getting her medicine. We would also wrap her up in a big towel. My mother would laugh and say that she looked like she was in a straight jacket! LOL!

  • Thanks! I was always trying to give my cat a pill, but it was totally a suicide. she was ready to kill me :D But with towel idea, sorry, kitty, but you won't go anywhere. So it really worked and now i can give my cat pills without risking my life. :D

  • Ha you look like me giving my cat meds. I have to use a beach towel now as she is close to 15 lbs.now at age 14 yrs.old.

Like the music you used in making this video. Very nicely done. My cat Prissy tears the beach towel after learning what is taking place. I clip her nails; all 10. But now she kicks the clippers across the rm.

My next step liq.med., in middle of a dap wet fd.; she takes it ,gets more wet fd.

    A winner.

  • Glad this was of help as you know giving your cat a pill can be quite challenging !! LOL

  • This was so helpful! My cat is so stubborn. I tried pill pockets with her, but she only fell for them a few days...then started eating around the pill.
