Hey, what si the exact model number of the HTC? The one I want is the HTC P3050, it just came out in Canada. Please let me know if its the same one, therefore compatible with the SPB full keyboard software

thanks mate. iv ordered this fone. my only concern was the txting. the software u have suggested is excellent. the full screen keyboard will be a breeze to use. maybe even be faster txting of that than and alpha numeric keypad on conventional phones. again op notch. too many reviews on youtube are concerned either about comparing it to the iphone (no one gives a shit) or post 10mins of them taking it out the box.

Hey, just wondering if the Touch already has a screen shield on it? I wasn't sure because there is a screen shield in the box but I'm not sure whether the phone already has one and that is an extra? Thanks!

There is not a screen protector on the Touch when you first open it. You can put the one from the box on there, but there are better choices like Boxwave and JAVOEdge protectors too.

Have you try to install the "Phone Pad Input" on the HTC Touch? You can find it on the wiki.xda-developers dot com page (just put "Phone Pad" in the search engine of the Hermes page), let me know if it works, please.

I did when I had the review unit and it does work quite well. I didn't mention it in my video since it isn't an "official" application, although you can see it in the list when I switched between the two methods shown.

On your video you never actually enter text with your thumbs using the SPB keyboard. Can one enter text quickly and accurately using thumbs only with the SPB? Thanks for a great video, think I might just get one!

Like I said, I haven't used that keyboard much and can't personally comment on using thumbs with it. I no longer have the review unit (I had to send it back already) so I can't try it again. Sorry.

There is a learning curve, but I picked it up in a couple of weeks and have been using it for years. You can also use it on Palm devices and even Tablet PC/UMPC devices.

The other keyboard is Spb Full Screen Keyboard.

Awesome video!!! I've been wanting to buy the Touch but not being able to text without the stylus has been the only thing holding me back!!! Now that I know there are alternatives available, I'm going to get my hands on one as soon as possible!!!

You have to buy it and I believe it is US$9.95. I wish HTC would have included a 3rd party solution like this though and maybe with the US release they will.
