  • voll bekloppt :-(

  • Jumpin' sure 'nuf!

  • never mind the hiss, surely this band deserved recognition for helping other musicians to gain fame.

  • I frequently play 78s at a local nursing home. The folks there love 'em and never " diss the hiss". And yes, I agree this band was a launching pad for many great musicians.

  • This rocks!

  • PriceRight89, It sure has an energy level that never ages.

  • Nice! For 1946, this seems to be ahead of its time and it sounds great, too.

  • sounds like a cross over from boogie to jump blues, r&b

  • Metallibanger64 I have a friend who collects old wind up players. They are really neat in their own "non-electric' way.

  • I remember playing my Grandmother's "Okeh", "Victor", and "RCA" 78s on her Victrola phonograph that used no electricity and needed winding up with the crank handle after about 3 records. I agree with "NEVER diss the HISS!"

  • jaregetsacookie,

I've retired the one you see in this video. Now I use a 1964 Magnavox Micromatic. I've retro fitted it with a modern Sure cartridge, and process the signal through some vintage analog equipment.

  • what kind of player do you have there?

  • 1066ant, Never diss the hiss.

  • Nice tune, seems to be alot of hiss from the record though.
