  • I feel the same way.

  • Heyyy! I totally feel you on the quarter-life crisis tip. I have a blog about my struggles; feel free to check it out. Hopefully, the info will be useful to you, or, at least, relatable. Youtube won't let me post the link here, so I'll add you as a friend as message it to you. :)

  • im on the same boat as you. i was always pretty responsible and stable then i hit 22 and realized im not happy and confused. fucked up shit huh lol now im stuck fml

  • Alesis, Please do what you feel in your heart! You will never regreat that.

  • oh yeah....and I completely understand where you're coming from. I've been there. But fear kept me from pursuing my passions and then I got married and had a baby. Now, my dreams are on hold because stability and security comes first for my child. I will still pursue my dreams but it will be later. No kids? No husband? No distractions? Not many responsibilities? Girl, go for your dreams! Listen to your heart. You will not find the answers you need outside of yourself. Look within.

  • Pursue what you absolutely love...something that if you only have this one thing to do, that would be it. Put your all into it. Find a way to achieve your goals. Success is not an accident. Success is always a planned event. Good luck!

  • A bit random, I know, but that candle behind you- is it a 'Our Own Candle Company' product?

I'm British but have one and recognised the design. Long burning, pleasant vagrance. Fantastic.

  • .... thanks for the upload. I can completely emphasise in the decision dilemna.

  • you look so sweet. that was my last comment

  • come to Europe, so we'll both live long and happy

  • No Bullshit that is a hot design. You should really really make that a t shirt and sell it online. I'm sure a lot of people would buy it.

That could be like the new global symbol for Peace. It has all the major religions and their symbols so everyone would wear it.

  • I understand what you're going thru totally. From my experience, I never followed my dreams to make a living as an artist or be a full time artist and have gone from career to career doing things that are more guaranteed income. Try not to see a decision you make as fucking up ur life becuz ppl have to start from scratch all the time. U will recreate urself many times over a lifetime. Pick one and go for it.

  • i did not see the whole video of yours. but i feel what your facing with having to choose with going to school following your dream of an artist.

in my opinion you should go trying to become an "studied" artist. next to that learn how to monetize the internet by building up your youtube site wit a blog. its possible.

well this is my plan after finishing my studies now in a few months.

    all the best to you.

    paz!

  • child please, you're my model by default !

  • I love you Kaya.....

  • follow ur heart mama! i REALLY REALLY REALLY suggest you read THE SECRET!!!

  • ...My 'rents wont support me majoring in that which makes it more difficult anyway. So I gotta be realistic. Use my major to support my minor. That's what I've concluded for now.

  • don't worry Bre... when I get on, you get on....

  • I'm thinking I'll just major in something I don't truly care for but that will guarantee me a good job and then i'll use that money to help me do what I really want to do in life. I'll admit sometimes while i'm studying a course like Chemistry I'll be like wtf this is not what I want to be doing, am I wasting my time, why don't I just go straight and pursue something in the vid production field? (cont...)

  • i love you!

  • i adore you.

  • On the other hand, I don't know you but I can tell you have such a beautiful soul! Follow your heart girl. If you love art and thats what makes you happy, then so be it. You have to be happy before anything. I'm totally gonna adopt you when I get rich haha :D Good luck with everything and I hope everything falls together in your favor.

  • I loveeee your hair. But im going through the same thing. Nursing, or music. Too late I already took out loans. Too late to turn back.

  • .i dont know where some of the stuff is coming from i dont even really feel like picking apart certain comments cuz everybody is entitled to their opinion..thats the point of makin a comment...but when u follw ur heart everything else falls into place..trust that -Gwen

  • pursue my photography...my bf and i have a son to take care of...but for you...lets get down to it...ur young and have no kids...the "smart" thing to do would be have a job make money ect but the thing ur heart tells u to do is follow ur dreams and sometimes ur heart may not be so smart but its always the best way to go...and to the people down bellow me..

  • ok...so i say...get fired from your job, collect unemployment, and then u got the money and the time to pursue...u know jerzee got the highest unemployment rate in the US so u could be on that shit for like more than a year and be straight :0) hehhe..but for real...I myself have a fam..im young but i dont work right now but im in school for nursing and i wanna

  • omg @ my spelling. intrusts? really? i still think im hung over from saturday

  • my opinion is chase your dreams but have a back up plan. go to school for art but also have a minor in something else that intrusts you. i could see you in psychology cus u like how the mind works. and if people didnt persue their dreams then the world would be a boring ass place. there would be no one trying to push the limits. there would be no "trends". everything would always be the same. sometimes u really just gotta do what YOU want to do regardless of what people tell u. chase ur dreams!

  • Every young person nowadays wants to be in front of the camera and get paid tons of money whether they have a talent or not. If you only have a mediorce talent others will take advantage of your ambition & use you to make money for themselves. I say, get a job especially if you are living off someone else. Work on your back up plan since "your dream" is not helping to pay the bills. If you have talent worthy of being seen by millions destiny will find you. I truly believe that.

  • A lot of people feel like you. They don't want a regular life. All their hopes are pinned on making it big. They have no agent, no support system, and have made no money. Two more years pass & they're still confused. Meanwhile people their age are graduating from college & working. Time goes by fast when you are waiting to be discovered. If you are not making money, do something that will bring in income. Everyone wants to be doing something else including the person you are living off of.

  • wow well said!

  • If physical therapy is really for me. You never know. You may really be destined to do art, or something else. Bottom line is, put yourself one step closer and INQUIRE. Most importantly, have faith in yourself. At the end of the day, you really can't expect your family, relatives, or friends to share the same enthusiasm about something as you. If art is really your passion, you can be stable in life from it. You might have to sacrifice though by getting rid of distractions or anything (CONT)

  • that doesn't support your dream. Take care alexis. Stay strong and god bless.

  • Hey belon. If it's art you truly would like to see yourself doing, then start inquiring. Find ot what successful artist had to do to become successful. That'll at least put you one step closer to picking a route to follow in life. If art ends up being what you don't want to do, pick another route and inquire for that route. For example, I'm a chemistry major who might want to get into physical therapy. I plan to volunteeer for a physical therapist to get exposure to that field to see (CONT)
