awesome... could i ask you something? im new to the whole "gimp" thing.. and everytime i try to use my paintbrush on there it wont show up on the page.. could you please tell me what i need to do to get it to show the color and actually work? i looked up instuctions.. but none of them give info.. thanks

im new at gimp too..

i think your problem is that your brush color is white. change the color on the left window, you will see two little white square things. just double click and choose the color.
