Can I ask, what is the Nvidia ION next gen equivalent to? I mean in the system requirements section of most games it'll say something like "Nvidia Geforce XXXX or equivalent". Just wondering if you know what the ION's equivalent is/what kind of capabilities it has? Asking because I just bought one of these and I want to play Oblivion on it...
@JOTTABYTE Oh yeah it can. Actually. It has a 1.66 Dual core intel processor and Nvidia dedicated graphics. If you took those two specs alone and no one told you it was only 10 inches you'd believe it.
@Inerdash in order to play you must use the ION card, if you have 7 starter try restart in ion mode, the gma card won't handle 1080p, if you have seven hp or better and you use optimus make sure you use the asus driver (the nvidia driver won't work good in optimus mode) ad start the game with the nvidia ION or restart in ION mode in ION mode the updated nvidia drivers will work
@Inerdash i don't watch youtube 1080p, maybe it's a flash problem try different browser, however local 1080p h264 mkv works fine for me, but if played with the internal hard disk, needs the ready boost, or sometimes can hang for a few seconds, i think upgrading to the 2gb module will help a lot, the games i've tried are heroes of migth and magic V, and it's fluid at minimum dettail 800x600, rising the dettails, will make the game less fluid, maybe it's a RAM problem.
Wow, I'm rather impressed actually. I have a laptop with a 2ghz dual core amd cpu and a ati mobility radeon hd 3200 (and a few years on its neck), and this netbook seems to perform equally good or better at some points, although mine does it at a higher resolution ;p
Well it seems like my laptop has got to throw in the towel in favor of this one.
Nvidia Ion is not ment to be for playing games, Especially when paired up with the Intel Atom processor.
Fact of the matter is this netbook is not for gaming. If your going to play a game from 2002-2004 on high-ish settings 2005-2007 on medium settings you will be fine for the most part, ok. Anything beyond that is just not acceptable to play on the netbook.
Good to see I'd be fine playing some slightly-dated games (5 years or so) just fine. Little sad about not being able to just put in a DVD, but I can always rip one of mine and put the files on if I'm going on a long trip. Thanks for the demo Blogeeenet.
guys, i found out you can also play pes 2012 on the eee pc. fifa 12 is larger and that will run very slow

i have windows 7 ultimate on my 1015pn (with 1gb ram) and it works :) I'm going to upgrade the Ram....soon....i need money :D
