It has been 3 weeks since I was given the deluxe Letters. I have listened to little else. The more I listen, the deeper these songs become. Matt is not kidding that he put his soul into these songs. I normally would be sick of an album by now and put it away for awhile, but that has not happened at all. I think anyone who has not fallen in love with these songs just has not listened properly.

@MrKarlmulcahy Joe, who's album 'Classic' is close to double gold, is on a sold out tour and about to release his 3rd album, doesn't need your sympathy. Or Shayne, who is tearing up the the West End. Leon, it seems did have problems dealing with with fame and went to America for awhile. He learned song writing and guitar and is now touring his native Scotland. He is happy with that level of fame, so don't feel sorry for him. Brookstein, I'm sure would love you to feel bad for him.

@nuimaleko7 I think its wonderful that Joe's album ~Classic is doing so well. I have not heard it despite loving the classics myself. I think its fantastic that the others are on their journey and are finding their niche along the way. However I am a Matt fan and love his voice and the songs he has created. I am really not to concerned about the chart levels anymore as this past year has made me realise just how ephemeral it all is. I am listening to Matt and loving it.xx

@93sancarlos He had been singing First Time and Nights in White Satin for years and loves You've Got the Love, Firework and When We Collide, so he was able to connect with the majority of the songs he sang on X Factor. Before and after X Factor, he only sings songs that he wrote the lyrics for or really connects to lyrically. He really feels the words and emotions.

Stunning. Matt is the most talented person ever to emerge from X Factor because he plays guitar, piano and drums and sings and writes songs and can produce too (listen to Seven Summers album if you doubt me on this). Most other X Factor acts sing songs written for them by others. Leona has a great set of lungs and can belt out a tune, but she doesn't write her own material.
