Islamabad is clean compared to Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi. I think next time you visit Pakistan you must visit Northern Areas like Gilgit-Baltistan, Skardu, Huzna Valley, the areas near the Pakistan-China border, its much more beautiful than Islamabad....its like Paradise on Earth..google up those areas and you'll see what I'm talking about but nothings like when visiting those places for yourself the Northern areas of Pakistan are breath taking.

They call it load shedding because Islamabad's electric grid gets over loaded easily. Then the power company turns off power in certain areas only in order to shed this load.

I was in Islamabad just a few months ago. Interesting place. I'm glad it seems to be getting safer these days but I'm disappointed by the bad economy and power failures :(.

I have been in Islamabad F11 for the last month or so. Load shedding here happens for 2 or 3 mins maximum and only once a week or so. Great video by the way. It's nice to see somone putting a positive image of Pakistan! Keep up the good work! You are making us proud!

I think it wasn't load shedding, since load shedding in Islamabad sounds odd. It might be light tripping or something like that. However, welcome back to the coolest city, Islamabad, peaceful, calm and clean :D as compared to others lol and yeah my hometown too ;)

@Yaiyasmin It was definitely load shedding. "Why it is called load shedding?", because their is a gap between power consumption and production so they had to do occasional (now frequent) power cuts.

plus to be honest, the guesthouse looked a lil unimpressive if i compare it to the ones you normally find for about 4000 to 5000 PKR per night per room.

its called loadshedding cause if they didn't switch the power off the transformers etc would overload...so hence they 'shed the load' aka loadshedding. good video!

Right...in an electrical circuit if there is too much of a load, power demand, this requires more and more current...in the extreme transformers and other parts of the circuits would fail and possibly be damaged, so to protect the power grid you turn parts of it OFF, thus shedding some of the load....or LOAD SHEDDING.

Kinda like how a circuit break in your house might trip if short out an outlet. If the circuit breaker didn't trip, the wiring could catch fire... WOW I am such a geek!
