@95CSL Those are the numbers it pulled on a dyno jet with SAE correction. It might have been the dyno that read high but those are the only numbers from the car as of now. Another dyno run will be in the future.
@telamika In the Cobra drivers defense I don't think it was necessary to powerahift when you pull another car that hard. The M3 driver on the otherhand had to hammer each shift just to minimize the gap.
@telamika cobra had clutch adjustment issues when the runs were made, not completely disengaging therefore not allowing fast shifts. dont jump at the bit next time dumbass

However, this Cobra isn't exactly a drag car either as it has an IRS. He suffers from wheel hop just like I do out of a dig which is why we decided to do rolling starts instead (that and the highway is the safer option). I'm not disappointed with the outcome of this race and it was just for fun. No big deal.

@zloben9000 You're impressed by a $23,000 V6 with 305HP? The Cobra owner bought the Cobra for $17,000 with well over 500HP. Sounds to me like the Cobra is the much better bargain and when you consider the Cobra still has the IRS it's still the better performer.

And the new mustang has illuminated interior and is very well made. of course you are right about the design. it is subjective, and of course the BMW is better built quality. but gosh 0-60 in 5 sec for 23000 bucks. I will give it to you, 0-60 in 5 seconds for $23,000 isn't too shabby. I'd personally opt for the 5.0 if I wanted a Mustang but I already dropped the money on my M3. Either way they're all sick cars.

V6 costs 23000
5.0 V8 GT costs 30000 (7 GRAND MORE) SEVEN)
V6 does 31mpg and insurance is about 1200/year
5.0 GT does 26 mpg and insurance is about 1500/year
and what do you get for all that money ?
half a second faster 0-60 time and extended bragging rights.
Just to mention the Shelby GT500 is 50000 bucks, yes 27000 over the V6
Performance is VERY EXPENSIVE
if you dont need performance dont buy it. You will pay through YOUR NOSE.
