I had a Typhoon. They are fun trucks, but they are shitboxes and the 4.3 V6 sounds like shit and is a weak motor. These cars will never be collectibles. If I had the money I'd definitely have a turbo LSX Typhoon.

I do know what a GNX is, and I probably would not put a V8 in a real GNX because some of those are actually worth money in pristine condition. Typhoons really aren't worth much unless you find one with low miles and excellent condition. My bottom line is that I want to go fast, so a turbo-LSX is a much better way to do that.

I actually feel bad for you if you hate someone because of their personal preference in cars. I agree with you that there are some cars I would never modify with different engines (like old classic muscle cars) but there is nothing classic about Typhoons. Have you ever owned one? I have - they are shitboxes.

Absolutely love the conversion... Forget the haters... The best thing about these trucks is that everyone can make them into what they want them to be...How difficult was the swap and whats an estimated cost of it?

and to those of you that think I ruined a rare truck you are very mistaken,everything that i have done to this can be easily removed,there are no perminent parts of modified stock parts that cant be changed back to stock if so desired,burt I*m not quit sure why anyone would want to do that,show me another sy/ty that can run 9's on pump gas with cam so smalll it idles smooth,and requires virtually zero maintenance....so check your ignorance at the door,thanks

A blazer or Jimmy is not nearly as cool as a Typhoon and a 4.3 V6 isn't going to do the job at a daily driven 93 octane 790 wheel horsepower.
The true spirit of this vehicle remains. GM powered, turbo, liquid intercooler, AWD. Just a billion times better than the original.
Of course, this vehicle could be returned to completely stock. Would anyone in their right mind do that? Hell no. :)
