  • Nas illmatic -April 19, 1994

    Biggie smalls -September 13, 1994

Do you really think biggie could rip a whole album in a couple of months And meth said this About big

It was no secret: Rae didn’t like him, Ghost didn’t like him. They thought he was a biter. But if you look at Rae and Ghost, they don’t like nobody! The rest of my niggas had love for Big.

  • Originality people stop all the copying and bitin...

  • ppl forgot what hip hop was really about....its deeper than just the music

  • em no NAS > BIGGIE

  • BEZ DAC L I NY NY

  • I wish Rae and Ghost updated this shit for whichever one of them drops an album next.

  • Biting Lines.. Nas: I'm saying this is what is all about right.. Hoes, Bankrolls, & Clothes.(Life's A Bitch -ILLmatic)... Biggie: Money, Hoes, And Clothes Is All A Nigga Knows.. (Big Poppa-Ready To Die)..

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 Nas is the GOD

  • @Bangura187 RAKIM IS GOD, NAS IS GOD'S SON.. B.I.G. IS THE GOAT..

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 so who copied who

  • @xXNASTYNaSXx Big Copied Nas Shit.. Its Hip-Hop Tho..

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 I COULD pick A load more rappers that have said that its a common thing to say dipshit

  • this is a classic! this aint even a fucking song but ...you gotta love the way Ghost talks and the way Rae laughs LOL

  • the longest recorded pause is in this record. can u find it? if not, kill yourself.

  • 3 Shark Biters disliked this, just saying

  • u raw 4 dis fam!!

  • shut tha fuck up fuckin hip hop heads

  • These guys are pretty stupid considering Method Man is on Ready to Die.

  • @spookon3s

its obvious your stupid ass missed the point

  • niggaz bit offa NASS shitt

  • I used to not like how they fit this little intermission into cuban linx like they did. But it makes a nice transition between Can It Be? (remix) and Ice Water.

  • But dey made peace at the end. God bless the dead, I love B.I.G. He's a fucking icon. Even when I seen him out in Cali, I wanted to tell son, yo, let's go ahead and make this record together because I matured through the years, and at the same time, I recognized good music. We shook hands on some peace shit, but that was all, cause they was on their way to leaving out. A day or two later, niggas [killed him]. ”

—Ghostface Killah, XXL, The Makin g of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..

  • Method Man was cool with everyone. He was cool with Biggie when Rae and Ghost had beef with Big, he was cool with Pac when Big and Pac had beef. Method Man is a cool ass dude all he wanna do smoke weed and party and get dat paper. LMAO

  • @shadyo2009 LOL hell yea Kurupt talked about that shit how he used to smoke up with Meth and Red. Who didn't wanna be down with them dudes back in the day?

  • da fuck u talkin bout...burn bridges wit big? big been dead. they the fuckin clan! meth know them cats so he alowed to say that. and big was way overrated.

  • rae and ghost dont like nobody, them niggas always pissed off

  • @larrence029 ....not at all your a idiot

  • @njsurfing1 i'm an idiot? too bad what i said was quoted straight from method man when asked about that situation

  • @larrence029 the situation was biggie was biting nas, nas was rae nd ghost boy along wit everyone else in Wu. i would be pissed to if someone was biting off my boys first album....of course meth is gunna say that, meth was the only person feature on ready to die meth isnt gunna burn bridges wit big.

  • @njsurfing1 i know the situation, but meth wouldnt say it if it wasnt true

  • @larrence029 dat what Method Man said!!!

  • yall know they directing this shit to biggie.... on how nas was the first to put a baby picture on the album then biggie did it.... if u listen to last real nigga alive nas says ghost and rae was tellin nas that biggie was bitin his style... but then biggie told nas ghost and rae was bitin off nas and nas was like he bit both they styles... its all on last real nigga alive on the god son album... so idk where yall got eminem from

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah except he completely bit AZ's flow for the entire album

  • rhymes is made of garlic

  • Eminem's album Infinite was a STRAIGHT bite off AZ...straight bite. But the three he came out with after that was completely Eminem's own style and some of the greatest albums hip hop has ever and will ever see.

  • @duckdown1993

eminem was more lyrical on infinite than nas or az ever was.

  • Nah God.. Em bit from Masta Ace son.. If y'all go and listen to some Masta Ace songs and then compare them with some old Eminem shit, you can hear how Em bit off of him..

  • @iKevinNNN it sounds counterintuitive but i think masta ace bit off eminem because his flow changed after eminem came out and disposable arts sounded like eminem and alot different than slaughtahouse. everybody bites off AZ hes one of the best of all times.

  • @Shadapaga i got respect 4 all the wiccid rappers, but icp n all them niggas bit Esham, n Esham didnt give a shit he collabed wit them ya kno we Family n shit, but it iz biting

  • @NaturalBornKillahs ICp and esham is not really in the same stratosphere as this conversation.

  • @Shadapaga yea but there tha shit

  • @Shadapaga n thats why your mom can fucc off wit my dicc in her hand, she created you

  • @NaturalBornKillahs you need to get on my level, im in a differnt place than you man, grow up god

  • @Shadapaga nigga you aint even kno my level, live my life then tell me if i need to grow up, you prolly woulda killed yoself

  • @NaturalBornKillahs peace, live your life outside of your moms basement.

  • @Shadapaga my momz aint gotta basement, n i dont live at my momz, so stop stereotyping you bitch

  • @NaturalBornKillahs peace my dude, i dont have to live like you, you do, good luck and use your brain not your mouth

  • @Shadapaga i never said u had to live like me, u need sum medz bro cuz your soundin delusional, i mean im tha skitso, n your puttin words in MY mouth, but ne way at least we can agree that thiz skit iz wiccid awesome n true muthafako peace

  • WORD MY WORD FOR THE WINTER OF 2010 IS....MAKE IT HAPPEN...NIGGA!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

  • No lie, i came to dis country on nov 1992...after i learned ENglish n daT SHIT growing up in queens...this was that ALBUM!!! A MAHHHFUCKING CLASSIC!!!

  • hip hop had one rule stealing ideas like fuckin dumbos

  • lol haterz!

  • You know what kills me? How acceptable bitting has become in the 21st century son. You got so-call mc's jackin another man's flow, name and garments and then they got the nerve to say they paying homage! Homage my ass! Too many lazy opportunistic cats who'd rather follow the steps of another man in order to strengthen himself. Its crazy! I never knew I would see the day when dick rider would become cool!

  • Raekwon & Ghostface had a little argument/beef with BIG and Puff.

But it ended quickly thanks to Method Man.

Wu-Tang Family has always been close friends with Biggie. Method Man & Ol' Dirty Bastard knew him well since long time back.

ODB and Biggie are both from Brooklyn.

Videos on youtube showing Biggie listening to Raekwon - Ice water in his car.

Another video with ODB, BIG freestyling together in Brooklyn to Redman tonights da night track and puffy in the background.

  • @islandwarrior16 where can i see that video,, biggie listening to raekwon?

  • @lordthug2 /watch?v=f1X3sJo2W8g

  • Raekwon sound funny when he laughed after Ghostface said:"Niggas biting off of Nas album".

  • @barlog20 i know what u talkin bout his laugh is hilarious

  • THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN FOR THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

  • Please, stop all this Biggie-worshipping - yes, he was one of the strongest rappers of his period but if he hadn't gotten killed most people out there wouldn't be sooo on his jock - most of the people posting on youtube are kids who weren't even around when he was rappin - they learned about him from that corny bio-pic recently and think he's god. Raekwon and Nas in 1994 were DEFINITELY on Biggie's level and many in NYC at the time would have said they were even better.

  • @adamwillgo dude. illmatic > ready to die. it was written was on the same level as life after death.

  • @purdue2009 in 1996 jay sold less then 250k jay was not a top sellin rapper til 98 hard knock life and he wasn't the number 1sellin rapper that yr

  • @MrWARBUCKS24

RIAA certification Reasonable Doubt 9/18/1996 GOLD it was released June 25, 1996 so thats less than 3 months. Only Built for Cuban Linx was released August 1, 1995 and went GOLD October 2,1996 so basically it had the same buzz as Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. These are verifiable facts Jay had a major buzz in 1996...where you actually there in 96? I doubt it. Why you think Pac was calling him out he was defintely a relevant artist.

  • niggaz niggaz niggaz niggaz caught his lil album cover, haaa ghost stutta like a muhfucca, this my favourite skit ever. REAL TALK

  • @mannersj but he still manage to make it sound fly haha

  • lil wayne bit off nas big time with his carter 3 album cover

  • wu tang is the best, because wu tang is for the children.

  • @cellularautomata puffy is good tho

  • What's funny is that Raekwon wanted to stab Biggie at The Source Awards.

  • @DewDamaff how u no that n y? not a youtube arguing cat just interested

  • @ongbayeadhay

It was in some documentary I saw. Somebody from the Source stated it. But it was well known that Raekwon and Biggie didn't like each other.

  • nas bit too he did the mafiosa rap album on it was written

  • Lil Wayne Also Bit Off Nas Illmatic Cover. Look At Tha Carter 3 Cover.

  • @darrion052395

The Game did the same. But more to copy Biggie than Nas.

  • 0:39 & 0:48

    niggaz niggaz niggaz niggaz niggaz

    lol

shits funny ghost is a thug

  • niggaz bit offa coolio shit nawmsayin son

  • "Niggas bit off of nas shit" lol

    Classic.

  • Niggas Bit off Nas Shit

50 sampled that part in Too Hot

  • he was talkin bout biggie bitin nas album cover right?

  • @msnikish1 lmfaoo

  • happy go lucky niggaz ahahaah poppin champagne ahahah front on me? play that role

  • Heres the crazy shit God, all the rappers ya'll hail like Jay Z, Em etc..all shark bitters. Notice how Jay and Em were active during this phase in Hip Hop and nobody was really fuckin with them. Jay was rapping all fast and Em was doing his best Nas impression on "Infinite". They had to wait till their late 20's after all the classics dropped to emerge. Why? Cause they evolved from the real Gods. Thats why I aint following they shit cause they bitters son.

  • But Em is real. He was more Redman actually

  • u dont know shit!

  • Really? ok... (no backup)

  • Comment removed

  • I Agree that Jay is a bitter no doubt. But Em is not man, when he came out with marshall mathers lp nobody ever heard shit like that before, and still nobody can duplicate that shit. Infinite maybe, but em created his own style, jay just bit the shit out off anyone he could.

  • OB4CL came out in 95 em was not on the radar

  • @asiaticthaprophet that's some real truth!

  • I agree with that ^...actually i thought Em sounded more like a '94 AZ than Nas..

  • fukk are you saying nikka? Jay in 1996 sold more than Rae did you argue about the quality of the albums but to say Jay wasn't gettin no love in new york or across the country during the time big and pac was alive is a lie, he didn't rich his pinnacle no, but he was just as big an artist as any new york rappers sans Nas and Big.

  • @purdue2009 wtf is pinnacle? like potential?

  • @asiaticthaprophet

Damn, somebody on Youtube who knows what they're talkin about.

  • @asiaticthaprophet Em bitin nas? From what i hear is he bit from Cage.

  • @asiaticthaprophet fucc eminem

  • @asiaticthaprophet shut the fuck with that shit, jay a biter, i dont even fuk with em like that but he original as fuck and ur a hatin ass faggot jealous bitch if u gon say otherwise

  • @asiaticthaprophet Eminem had his own style so did Jay Z they might of been fluenced by them but all artists were influenced by somebody. Jay Z got the biggest because he made his raps pop friendly which isn't my favorite but still and all it was a good business move on his part because girls buy cd's too and they want to dance. Eminem's first cd was a classic after that I think he strayed too far from the raw hip hop element but you have to give him credit.

  • @asiaticthaprophet Not really Jay-Z's best album is Reasonable Doubt

  • @tonyAJ420 Yes it is. And you can argue he bit that mafioso style from Cuban Linx. Biggie did too. He ain't start calling himself Frank White till after this shit too. Hell, even Nas bit off these niggas.

  • @asiaticthaprophet em on infinite sounds nothing like em after that though

  • @asiaticthaprophet Jay at the time was in Biggies shadow. Jay's best stuff is then when he wrote his rhyme, and was hungry for burn and before that he was rapping like a Fuschnick

  • @asiaticthaprophet Bro, Eminem was broke as FUCK and had no one to really put his name out. It's hard to make it big without anyone giving you a hand. Which dre did, but not til later.

You're nothin but a hatin ass bitch is what you are.

  • @asiaticthaprophet have you heard reasonable doubt beginning to end if not you cant hate on jay no biting its his own style and lyrics that still fly over niggas heads to this day

  • this some real talk. just be original get ya own shit and ull be ight

  • classic skit

  • have never heard "nigga" used so much in a damn fucken sentence. B

  • I dont want n iggas soundin like me ... ... ... on NO albumn.

    Because Im approachin niggas.

    LOL

  • nowadays its all good to jack other peoples style, thats Why Wu-Tang is the best! not another group EVER gonna sound like Wu

  • U right. Not even Killarmy gon ever sound like em.

Wu-Tang is here FOREVER!! MUTHA FUCKAS!

  • in a sense he did...it was still a kid on the cover....

  • cuban linx ll 9 08 09

  • LOL Niggas is DUSTED! This skit is funny as hell though.

  • Later on Wayne with C3 and the baby on it of him! Dude did it too lol.

  • Its funny how Tupac was gonna sign The Wu to his lable if he didnt die, imagine how the beef between Pac and Big would have gotten worst.

  • " niggas is bitin of ur album cover and shit..."

definitely talking about biggie, taking nas idea for his album cover.

  • who were the shark niggers in them days?? and why was ghost talking about nas and biggie did people bite the bars some one tell me im confused??

  • j z bites nogh big

  • biggie bit nas's album cover with that baby picture...just listen to wat hes sayin.

  • biggie and nas were friends, rae and nas were friends. it seems wu and big both started putting ideas in nas's head lol

  • ye ur right. if you want to know about this just listen to the last real nigga alive by nas

  • Bitin His style talking about the album cover

  • don't get me wrong wu tang started many trends. but, they bit show biz & ag's video fat pockets by doing the all so simple video. those videos are almost identical, but showbiz & ag did it before wu tang did.

  • Uh No!! Rae and Ghost did that video right across from the projects while Biz and AG did it downtown Manhattan. And how are they biting when so simple video was filmed day and night and in a house. It was wasn't unusually to have cars in your video. Both videos have two different formats..

  • lots of artists from NY were doing vids like that back then... it def. wasn't limited to just those two videos. there was a point where that whole "everyone out in the street with the trucks n cars" thing was pretty much the standard east coast video, so i can't say they bit that from them.

  • your used to a modern day music scene where biting is an everyday occurence... back in the late 80's - early-mid 90's its the lowest possible shit you can do... i guess in a day and age where nobody is original anymore you might feel that way

  • @mpcpadbanga

perfectly stated....hiphopisdead if you dont understand that originality is what hip hop is all about, this isnt r+b

  • kids cant understand this unless they were in tune with hiphop back in those days,,, when new shit came out you was on it.. then you see the actions of puffy in those days, and you know what,, yeah ,they bit, but they got away with it,,, puffy used to be a little muskrat nigga on the sides of all the songs and we used to be like'''' there this nigga go again... puttin his little 2cents in every song... DAMN..LET BIGGIE RHYME ON HIS OWN SHIT ALREADY , with out "yeah. i like that" on evrything...

  • bad boy, 96, take that take that.....

    can't stop, won't stop....

  • Is this the track where they supposed to be going at biggie??

If so, why was Rae going at Biggie? Did they have beef?

  • Who gives a shit illmatic and ready to die are two of the best rap albums ever

  • You mean who gives a shit now(cause thats all niggaz really do now is bite) back then niggaz would get at chu for biting their steez regardless if its a big deal or not, back then you get respected more for being original thats why it was a big deal to them.

Plus then if you went at a rapper lyrial wise that boosted sales so the nigga was tryna make money thats why he was talking bout Biggie biting Nas.

    Publicity, and money.........

  • @blazedabooth

    exactly 100% co-sign

  • @ kheo

    Yea man, appreciated.

  • niggazniggaazniggazniggaaz bit off of nas shit!

  • they gettin on biggie

  • there's no jigga diss

  • jacobsutt...all members of the wu-tang are very intelligent. listen to the rza speak and you will add to your vocabulary.

  • so if white people say dude or man they are unoriginal right? and nice english and spelling

  • pleeaasseeee lmao

  • Ooh a little message for biggie, i dont know if you guys picked it up :D

  • we know he is talking about biggie

  • trust yo obviously

  • whos lines did biggie talke??

  • Album cover, not rhymes really.

  • No ones ur mad to ask that question hes saying about the ready to die cover being same as illmatics

  • See, back then, those were the rules in Hip Hop, and they were enforced. Muthafuckas don't say shit like this no more. That's why people feel that it's ok to jack other peoples shit. Like peoples rhymes, songs, beats, style, swag, even their fuckin wardrobe. So now it's to the point where niggas is asking for PERMISSION to bite their style (Like Kanye and Diddy asking T-Pain if they can bite off of his style.) Just like Track 2 off of Biggie's Ready To Die, things done changed.

  • BE ORIGINAL!!

  • yes prince, all about them sexcapades

  • There's no similarity between the two there's a difference between your infant daughter and you as a kid

Don't get me wrong, as much as I love Rae, Ghost, and Nas, I can't put down Big

  • Whether Wu started CREAM or not is really irrelevant because they were the only ones to use it in a song at that time (and I challenge anyone to up a song where it was used before 36 Chambers). After CREAM came out that word exploded in Hip Hop with damn near everybody using that word in reference to money.

  • Rae and Ghost said it right on here.

  • kheo.. good counter point, stfu.......

  • stfu? for what, saying he made a good point and dude made a good counter point, don't see your point so let me spell it out shut the fuck up till you have something to say that makes sense

  • anything just like Wu didn't steal anything they were two totally different styles with a lot of flavor

  • Wasup can we get something straight please, I like Big and Wu,I don't think Big purposely stole any of Wu's shit.BIG was however heavily influenced. Rae and Ghost took it the wrong way in thinkin Biggie was stealing their style. Although Biggie got more coverage he still gave Wu their props. It was just a lack of communication between them. Wu(whole and individual) and BIG are extremely talented Wu used their slang/content and Big used his swagger and word play honestly I don' think Big stole

  • So - Let me get this straight!

    Pac vs B.I.G.

    Wu vs B.I.G -

Nas makes ' The Message ' - The whole world thinks it's a diss to Pac [ including Pac ]

    - so Pac pins Nas as the ring-leader for the beef against him in the 7 day theory album.

However Big did know The message was against him - so he made 'Kicking the door' - against Rae, Ghost and Nas.

    - I think this is the most interesting beef -

could some1 explain to me this a little better please -

    thank u.

  • stillmatic91 I don't think Biggie thought The Message was a diss towards him. Like everybody else they thought Nas was going at Pac (which he denied a few months ago). Nas had went at BIG on a freestyle where he said he was going to take the crown off the fake King of New York and lock it down.

  • ur right, Big didn't think it was diss toward him, he KNEW it was a diss toward him.

  • listen to Last Nigga Alive by Nas, he even admits that Biggie and him threw disses at eachother in like etc. Kick in the door

  • regardless they still wanted to bash each other if they seen each other. well i kno rae for sure also wouldnt want to be in the same room as fitty, they hot too for some reason. word is born fitty and game be mad biters still

  • y u think rae dont wanna meet 50 snitch he admitted ja attacked him lil ass ja come on man u not from the hood stick to rock or country
