  • New update please....

  • @dm002a8686 Sorry I haven't seen this tank again and I think it maybe being changed so will have to have another visit in the year!

  • @a24udi in what way do you think glen it might be changing

  • @dm002a8686 all fish has died.. thank u

  • Class Class Class

  • Any place that has any details on the tank itself? I was interested in items such as tank maintenance, and details on filtration (I saw the vid showing part of his filtration). Anyone know how long he has had this since startup?

  • @kenstoy1 I think it has been setup for many years but changed along the way, check out practical fish keeping mag they done a full spread on it!

  • THE COMBAT TANGS LOOKS REAL NICE. MUST COST A FORTUNE

  • Nice fish, But tank layout LOOKS A REAL MESS with too many straggly bits. But the fish probably like it. But not really pleasing to the eye.

  • WOW! What a tank. What is the name of the fish at 0.32 seconds. The one which has yellow, red & purple?

  • @prashan3253 anthias, most likely barlett's.

  • Too much purplish. Its is depressing. Try to get some black and white bars and oranges and yellows and reds in there. Get rid of some of the purple and blue fishies. Change your lights to reduce the blue tint. Also add a bunch of urchins to get rid of some of the corraline algae. Also I know this is difficult, but try to get some negative spaces in there and remove some of the rock to have less of a claustrophobic feeling. If you do this, your tank would look a lot more sunny and cheerful.

  • 16000 liter

  • Think if anybody had posision your tank... gud what a mess.

  • Tang Police

Those yellow tangs have too much swimming room!!!!

  • excellent just like the h20 salt

  • This is what i'd call an Audrina fish tank, cause you could look at it for days on end and still want to see it more!

  • Amazing.

  • 3 resplednids in one frame!!!!

  • how big is that tank

  • What are the small, silvery fish in the large shoal usually on the left side of your tank named?

  • you would not need a TV if you had this :)

  • Thankyou for sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the aquarium, reef, fish in all it's glory. I could sit and watch that for hours if I was there or owned a similar system. I bet the entire system with the two sump rooms running all those pumps, water and equipment must be very expensive. Does anyone know exactly how much his water and electricity bill is each month? minus the cost of upkeep for the reef and fish?

  • Impressive.

  • Hello, id like to know how much such thing is worth and where i could get my hand on it?? :)

  • @inboundlight0711 Sorry can't remember the name but it's a tang, they are around in the shops just get big so good for this tank lol

I hope some day my tank will be as amazing as this...

    Well done...

  • Did you get a house especially for the tank.

How much did it cost? Where do you go to get your fish and corals. What shop?

  • he really love yellow tangs and hate blue hippos

  • so glen still grate tank of davids, but i was suprised when i first saw his tank in 2003 that he had no regal tangs in there, is there a reason why he didnt put any in

  • @tashdog1 not sure why maybe not a nice fish for him? they do tend to be a pain but would had thought he may have had one, I didn't notice to be honest my jaw was dragging around on the floor all the time lol

  • best tank i have seen so far love the mushrooms and polips

  • @TheNatedrew I was very lucky to be able to see this tank in the flesh, the pics / vids do nothing for this tank and they just can't show you how good it is trust me!

  • Take a bow, great tank well done!! What are the small shoaling fish on the right hand side from 3.50-3.59 please?

  • @a24udi

I tested my water and it did seem to be in the range that require. I used to have just fishes, starfish and rocks only for more than a year. Then, I started to add some soft corals like coral tree, Xenia, and anemone. But, within a week it all died on me. I changed water and replace different kind of lights as recommend by the pet shop. Then, I added soft corals and anemone and again, it died on me two more times afterward. I had 7 books show how to raise them. But, still don't kno

  • @2011TOMCAT Keep away from the nems in smaller tanks, they filter the water so quick you need to have your water spot on, in fact I would even say stay away full stop, most are dieing before you get them so you have them for a short while then they die! Always remember that a small aquarium is harder to keep stable, the slight change is a massive one on their side due to the amount of the water, when doing water changes try to get the temp and salinity spot on!

  • This is one remarkably beautiful fish tank. Best I have seen by far. I used to have 90 gallon salt water. I had lot of problems of taking care of coral, they tend to die on me within a week. I went to a pet shop ask them why is that and they said because I have yellow tang in my tank that they will eat my coral. But, I see you have so many yellow tangs in here as well as coral and it work well together. Why is that? Can any one answer me... Please....Thanks.

  • @2011TOMCAT Don't know why the yellow tang would kill coral? the only issue I can think off is the shop owner must think you have high nitrates or something due to feeding the tang?

  • what's the song?

  • @UBK43397

Sorry for thedelay, it's by Lee Rodgers

  • inspirational. Thanks.

  • how do you move thame to a biggr tank

  • man i like it

  • from time track 1:24 to 1:30 and 2:48 to 2:59 is fave part due to close up clip

of the powder blue tang as im mad over them tangs as well as regal tangs

  • How many gallons is it.

  • @Otwwrestling it has 3,700 gallons

his nitrates crept upto 60.ppm level

due to his 400 fish but dont have them all now.

then when he connected his nfp,1020 15,000 litre

nitrate filter up it brought his nitrates down to 00.ppm level

in 3month doing this, them nitrates work by feeding them vodka

the bacteria looks like frogs sperm and spider webs by leigh dawson

deltec rep. i got that 15,000 litre nitrate filter it is cost prohibitive to run

  • Proper mint you rapscallions

  • how long have you had that running

  • @tylenolisland Hi this is not my tank, but this one has been running for some years I think, it did leak at some point so it was emptied and repaired and filled again!

  • @a24udi no glen it did not leak and got repaired it actually broke flooded

his house and david had to seak out find £50,000 home insurance

and had a new glass tank built at 1inch thick glass i found this out once in

practical fishkeeping magazine. boy you could amagin what a pain that was

  • holy crap. how would u like to have that in your living room.

  • When you see how much food goes in the tank they get their chance to eat, and this is done about 4 times a day!

  • @a24udi well glen theres one man who i once knew in my local

store who i dont see now as left, his aquarium is bigger than davids aquarium

by 2foot longe 12,foot long, but only 1month ago the aquatic store manager told me HES JUST BOUGHT one of davids own second hand ap1006 12,000 litre skimmers when david upgraded to the new modles

  • @tashdog1 I see one on ebay for sale, they want £2000 for it I think?

  • @a24udi

    well from today glen the

AP1006 skimmer on ebay has gone

£3000 to buy now it was and £2000 starting bidding

  • Very very nice tank, tangs, wrasses, damsels, anthias Unicorn tangs and cardinals really brighten up the tank, i just wonder though, is it hard keeping the cardinals alive because of their "slow" nature?

  • Great vid Glen. Would love to see this in the flesh one day.

    AntF

  • thats very cool wish i could go there and see his tank in person.

  • breath taking

  • wow

  • That's what I thought, it is out of this world! David is 65 years old and knows every plug for this tank (over 100 I would have said) also the guy was a gent!
