The playlist featured guns that were not used in war, for the most part. The private ownership and legal use of guns has nothing to do with war, for the most part. The right to legally own guns is part of our national pride and the song and flag are respected icons of our national pride. I'm sorry if you think our national pride is about war. Over the years I have read so many different comments many of which I do not agree with. I do try to remove the really offensive ones and I do block many users that repeatedly post offensive comments. This clip functions as a lightning rod of world opinion at different times in our history. I do not want to filter comments thru an approval process for two reasons.
First the major news networks filter all of their commentary thru their filters (both right and left) and we do not in the end get the real news, facts or opinions of people around the world. Instead we only hear what the networks want us to hear like it or not. I will not do that. Second I think people have become just to PC and let their little feelings get hurt to easily. I think it is time for people to manup and talk, discuss, compromise and live together in peace.
When that does not work it is great to have men like you in our service. I would like you to post this comment on the clip and make it public too. I will reply with some of this message too.

In the United States this melody is uses for the song "My country, 'tis of thee" (Samuel Francis Smith, 1831) which function was kind of a national anthem (together with few other songs) until 1931 "The star-spangled banner" became National Anthem. BTW: The melody was first time played 1745 and since then used for patriotic songs all across europe and from there it was taken by settlers to american colonies and was still used in latter U.S.A.

In the United States this melody is uses for the song "My country, 'tis of thee" (Samuel Francis Smith, 1831) which function was kind of a national anthem (together with few other songs) until 1931 "The star-spangled banner" became National Anthem. BTW: The melody was first time played 1745 and since then used for patriotic songs all across europe and from there it was taken by settlers to american colonies and was still used in latter U.S.A.

It is a tool of propaganda to persuade us to support the war by supporting the essentially innocent soldiers fighting it. That is why I don't care for these statements of "people that protect our great country" because you are buying into that media storm.
