  • Hogan´s best match ever.

  • Chairshot + Bad eye's + Hansen's stiffness + Hogan's head = AWESOME!

  • This is why I love wrestling matches in Japan. it would bring the best out of guys like Hogan. Gaijins always took it an extra level there and I envy the Japanese fans, they had it so good as opposed to us here in the US.

  • Man, Hansen, along with the Funks, Harley Race, Arn Anderson etc (just to name a few) were some true tough SOBs back then. I bet Hansen was hell to wrestle. He lands everything hard he throws.

  • Wow, that looks so real! It amazes me! hahaha Wrestling must be for children.

  • Such a cool finish. One of the stiffest and coolest looking Axe Bombers I've seen from Hogan. He pulled it off kind of like how Hansen does the Western Lariat.....except it's kinda from the East lol.

  • AX-bomber is 90 degree arm,so finish is just lariat,baldness.

  • This one of the greatest matches ever! Stan Hansen and Hulk Hogan in their primes! Hogan was a great wrestler! HHH could never pull off a match like this! Stan Hansen was in No Holds Barred with Hogan!

  • できればハンセンに勝ってほしかった。

  • This match is proof that Hogan always knew how to wrestle, and to wrestle stiff. But in the WWF he did not need to do so to make big money.

Good match with a good finish.

  • @SmilingSynic also proves he was smart enough to bring it in Japan

  • このフィニッシュは、アックスボンバーやなくて掟破りの逆ラリアットやろ。腕曲げてへんがな。

  • THIS WOULD've been a MUCH BETTER rivalry for Hogan had this been in the states----specially in 1990 and ESPECIALLY AFTER LOSING to the WARRIOR at WM6, much better than that STUPID SHIT HOGAN had with the EARTHQUAKE!!

  • stan hansen is a tough S.O.B!!

  • Entertainment at it's best.

  • you know you've done a proper blade job when you can't really point out where it happened

  • Great blade jobs by both wrestlers too... Hulkamania was even running wild in the Land of the Rising Sun.... BROTHER!!

  • Didnt he put his leg down on 2 count?

  • good match

  • Did anyone else notice that Hansen kicked out at 2?

  • CATCHUP + TEATHER = CLOWN SHOW

  • Never Shave or Wax Again

  • MASSA DE TOMATE + TEATRO = ESSA MERDA AI

  • @albertojau Parabéns pelo comentário inspirador garotão, descobriu a américa...

  • Nothing like a good old fashion fight between Hogan and Hansen. Better than the garbage you see today.

  • @sxwrulz

ROH disagrees, so does Daniel Bryan (Danielson) vs Dolph Ziggler.

you're just trapped in the past.

  • @BloodPump No WWE just SUCKS!!! ROH and DGUSA are the best groups going today. Don't talk to me about being trapped anywhere in the past.

  • @sxwrulz Well, we agree on ROH being the best American promotion at least.

Concerning WWE. I'll agree, to an extent, that the WWE has dropped in quality sense 2001, I'll agree that the PG deal isn't working, I'll agree on the fact that Cena and Rey are overrated (don't hate them though because they're both good human beings outside the ring), and that Hornswaggle should go to the scrap heap, but to declare that WWE out right sucks is wrong. Its not good right now, but it has its moments.

  • @BloodPump Unfortunately WWE's moments they are very few and far between.

  • @sxwrulz True enough. Last great thing they did was the Nexus debut, and I'll admit that they most certainly dropped the ball very quickly with that.

At the very least, though, they're finally giving the younger guys like Ziggler and Miz (whether or not Miz deserves it is entirely up to opinion) a Main Event push.

  • @BloodPump Miz deserves it. He paid his dues under guys like "The Assassin" Jody Hamilton. The problem is he didn't have guys willing to put him over clean. His title reign was killed by being booked badly. Ziggler, Kofi, Bryan, Bourne, Wade, Sheamus, Morrison and Swagger are all talented as well but WWE doesn't show its devoted to having a good midcard.

  • axe bomba mutha fucka

  • YEAHHHH Hogan can work a match....If by working a match you mean getting the piss beat out of you by Stan Hansen and then hitting a clothesline to win....Yeah thats a worker....Fucking idiots....Stan Hansen threw him up and down and all around and then took the loss because he probably got a nice payday to do so....fuckin marks

  • @mattybmc64 You're probably the asshole that thinks pro wrestling is real, so he gets mad about the finishes when you favorite doesn't win. Fuckin dipshit. LOL

  • @RAV52 Yeah that's exactly what my comment said you fucking sack of afterbirth. Kill yourself and your mom will bury you in your Cenation t-shirt. Cock smoker

  • @mattybmc64 Shut your cock holster and kill yourself, virgin.

  • @mattybmc64 you have no idea whats going on and the clothesline was the axe bomber, hulks jap finisher, you dumbass. are you a cena or bret hart fan?

  • Hogan's matches that he did in Japan are better than what he did in North America.

  • This is Hulk in his prime.

  • @claudiobmk jesus shut up with that bullshit

  • スターバイソン vs アックス - ダガン

    FIGHT!!!!!!!

  • Jesus Christ, I wish I saw this Hogan in America.

  • @stargate121 he actually wrestled like this in a handful of wcw matches but some reason never in wwf/wwe

  • How is this proof that Hogan can work a match? Stan Hansen kicks the shit out of him for ten minutes, then Hogan hits the Axe Bomber out of nowhere for the victory. This is pretty much his standard match, minus the prolonged comeback after "Hulking up".

  • @djp928 Shut up idiot

  • fuckin fake ufc is real

  • @omfg1hp fuck the Ultimate Faggot Chumps

  • @omfg1hp

    ufc is real

    real gay

  • They are clowns? Hohan the kind clown, malicious has run away))

  • I really wish someone would post the Hogan-Hansen match from New Japan in 1981.

  • The Japanese crowd cheer whenever someone gets thrown back into the ring. Haha.

  • Hansen kicked out!

  • this is gay is all fake

  • @areg251

No kidding, so your telling us in real life Jeff Goldblum wasn't running for his life from a T-Rex in Jurasic Park? News to me.

  • @areg251

    whata broken english man lmao

  • Hulk Hogan atleast got off his ass to fight great rasslers like Hansen in different promotions, unlike current face of wwe JOHN CENA

  • Is this WWF Japan Tour? There is WWF Logo on the apron

  • ichibaaaaan

  • wow the guy calling the match sounded like he belongs in a bingo hall talking so fucking fast i luv the break we took from hearing his voice when he got knocked into by hulk bhahahahaha

  • too bad hogan couldn't work like this all the time

  • the ending sucked IMO

  • @lukepghpa I agree with you. His Japan matches were much better works than his U.S. matches.

  • Well the Japs are real fans of the squared circle arnt they. They wouldnt allow Hogan to get away with the lacklustre bare minimum that American & European fans let him get away with. This is Hansens backyard not Hogan, the fans are well & truelly Hansens fans.

  • lol 3:40

  • this is so dang violent!

  • ...and Hansen would sadly then go on to be nothing more than a NWA/WCW mid-carder after this(at least in America).

  • That was Jim Herd's idea to mid-card him and try to make him look like an idiot. Herd was a piece of shit and new nothing about the business.

  • Yeah, but at least Hansen had the brass tacks to walk out of WCW when they tried to partner him up with those three jobbers. Hansen was doing great until then. He even got a good match out of Lex Luger!

  • Hey I totally agree with you. I was a big Hansen fan. There weren't too many tougher than him. Jim Herd ran WCW nearly into the ground because he new nothing about pro-wrestling and how to make money with it.

  • @clusterfocked , Hansen was more popular in Japan than in the U.S.. His tenure as A.W.A. champion, helped a bit, but not much.

  • I remember during the time that this match happened, the WWF was considering a heel turn for Hogan and were going to use his "Japanese" style wrestling in the USA. Obviously they opted against it.

  • Love Stan making the Hulkster work for a change! Hogan couldn't pull that 9 minutes and a leg drop crap in Japan!!

  • lol! that has nothing to do with Stan Hansen and everything to do with WHERE they are wrestling!!LOLOL

  • there are no sub-human languages, but there sub-brains like urs, u racist and indicent bonehead

  • you know what's worse, xenophobic nitwits who spend so much time blindly hating anything they do not understand that they completely miss the fact that ALL HUMANS ARE THE SAME SPECIES. YOU ARE HATING YOURSELVES.

  • @BOBBYSOX86

Blimey, I bet you hate women, Texans, British,French and shopping clerks too. Infact I bet there's only you and your centerfolds you like..

Any way This was an ace match and Stan Hansen was one nasty bugger.

  • Great Brawling Match!!! One of my favourites ever!

  • Hulk Hogan beat Stan Hansen by using the Axe Bomber (a running clothesline), and not Stan's own finisher. The Axe Bomber is Hogan's Japanese finisher.

  • And you can hear the chant "Ichiban" sometimes directed at Hogan. That is Japanese for "#1."

Japanese crowds typically aren't loud and don't pop like American crowds can. That is testament to how huge this match was that you actually hear some big pops. When Douglas upset Tyson here, one of the biggest legitimate upsets in sports history, you could hear a mouse piss on cotton it was so quiet.

  • Yeah, the Lariat is a completely different move.

  • Hogan made professional wrestling a worldwide sensation during the 80s, the afteraffects of which is still felt today. He was the greatest entertainer in the history of sports-entertainment.

  • shame one of the most inflential and popular wrestlers in history is a real selfish ass in real life

  • No, he is human and imperfect.

  • Nice match.

  • my dad got me a bootleg of this after it happened and then he found the rare release at an old movie shop and thought it was so cool

  • Awesome match! Shows why Hulks the best of all time!

  • He made millions of bucks and fans, people loved, thats why he is a legend. He entertained the people, and nobody beat him doing that.

  • If Hogan used this style Warrior would probably piss his pants and run away.

  • all hogan would've had to do to finish off the ultimate warrior is convince him to take a ride from his jackass son.

  • Funny how people see people with limited knowledge... Most people didn't know the Indian singer Jim Croce was one hell of a karate-kick badarse & could clean a bar (Anywhere anytime) or deal with 'LEROY' (Really happened but his name wasn't Leroy) & also once dealt with multiple pay-per-soul's from the Langley 'FARM' with ease... As for Warrior or 'WARREN' he just may have been of Indian blood & without wrestling could easily destroy twice his weight...

  • what si a pay per soul?

  • @jama122 people like u really get on my fucking nerves, why is it when anybody has got to slag any wrestler off why is it always the ultimate warrior,he was the best wrestling athlete in us history.never been pinned in a proper match, the guy was just head and shoulders above the rest and and for you to make a comment like saying warrior would piss his pants is absolute bullshit,so stop talking out of your arse until you no the proper facts you idiot.

  • I think that for some US wrestlers that were considered bad Japan tours were a thing of honor to them where they could prove themselves. It was probably like that for Hogan.

  • Thank you for the clarification

  • the potatoes were flyin in this match god....i knew hogan wrestled different in japan but man he was just a beast here.hansen was always a beast so there was no change in him.ever

  • Wow, these Japanese matches make the American ones look so WEAK!!

Hansen and Hogan are brutal here. The only thing I've seen like this in America is the old 70s-early 80s Mid South Wrestling. That was some WILD stuff. Very much like ECW.

  • boy they pop for that clothesline over there in Japan. lol could you imagine Hogan winning by flying body press? lol

  • i dont understand...was the style hogan used in the us supposed to be a little softer for the audience b/c this style he is usein is straight brutal and raw.....he is really good at what he does.....this shit looks real as hell

  • LOL...every wrestler's style in the US is softer compared to Japan...if you don't hit, the other guy wont sell. You wont see clips of any wrestler over-selling anything in Japan...just cant stand that commentator...talk about one sided...

  • Hogan was only great working in Japan. But my main beef with him was his unwillingness to share the spotlight and be good for the business itself. That and not showing any sort of improvement in America beyond his usual shtick. Like here

  • Again, boys and girls proof that Hulk Hogan can work a match....

  • People don't realize that Hogan knew what would go over where. In the states, the style he used went over so it didn't matter whether or not people thought he could work. In Japan, he was a completely different animal, as are many many other wrestlers.

  • @RonaldJoseCarlos

Agreed, although, while some of his matches in the US sucked, his rep for bad wrestling was overblown to begin with..people need to watch someone like The Warlord-----a walking syringe, and a bad match waiting to happen..

  • @NWpowerhouse85 yeah man for sure! Haha, definitely amused by the walking syringe comment to! Let me give you a thumbs up if I can find it on the new layout for YouTube!!!

  • 倉持アナ最後の全日本プロレスの実況でしたね。

  • 良い。往年の好マッチメーク。懐かしく見させていただきました。遺恨は無かったと記憶しております。

  • What a great match, wish to get this in dvd format.

  • 「すいません、全然聞こえません」受けたw

  • cross body block by Hogan.. sweet

  • i swear hasen needs serious anger management class lol

  • Stan Hansen was one of the best wrestlers of all time, bar none !!!

  • its part of his gimick

he's supposed to be monster HEEL

  • tahst why they had andre the giant beat on him...LOL..

  • I was at MSG when Hogan defeated the Iron Sheik and I was at Skydome for the wrestlemania when he lost to the Ultimate Clown. I think that in that time period Hogan though not a Dory Funk Jr. did some of his best wrestling.

  • Did Hulk Hogan really just do a cross body? Rare move outta him.

  • Seems to me all the people who talk smack about the Hulk only saw him in WCW 20 years into abusing his body in wrestling (and with steroids). From 79-93 the man moved very well for a 6'7" 300-320 pounder. And not "just in Japan" as all the smarks like to say. His AWA work with Bockwinkle as well as his WWF work with the likes of Valentine, Muraco, Bob Orton, Orndorf, Savage & others was superb.

  • i agree with you because ive been a Hogan fan for a long time and i have notice that myself that people that watched him in his later career talk the smack about him. but Hulk Was a beast in the ring.

  • Hogan was awesome from his days as Sterling Golden to his WWF title reigns. His WCW stints were horrible and did nothing for his reputation.

  • HORRIBLE finish.

  • The general idea to that was, he used Stan Hansen's finisher, the Western Lariat, to beat him. It wasn't supposed to be a finish from just a clothesline. In context it worked

  • Actually IdTheDestroyer. Hogan's Japanese finisher was the "Ax Bomber" which was the running clothesline into the ropes. He used it when with New Japan back from 1981 to 1984. Since he hadn't wrestled in Japan since 1984, he wanted to use his Japanese finisher on Hansen, he wasn't copying the Western Lariat.

  • AXE BOMBA!!!

  • I always thought Hogan was a sorry wrestler but I have to say the man wrestled a good match when he wanted to. Thanks for the upload.

  • Hogan actually wrestled in this match :)

I remember watching this match in the early 90's on a VHS tape.

  • It's Amazing that Hogan goes overseas and has his one and only 5* match! Thank God Hansen has the ability to make anyone look good. Hogan turned his game up here much like he did when he wrestled grat Muta!

  • Hogan was no HBK or Flair, but he was much better than anyone gets him credit for, specially in Japan, where he wrestled very differently from USA.

  • True. Much like Cena, Hogan wrestled close to his gimmick (a big power move kinda guy) I give Hogan his credit but he did need a strong opponent to work with. Muta, Hansen And Tenryu to name a few.

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh stan won...

  • This was actually for a promotion called SWS that ran for a while in the early 90s. In the few matches from Japan that I've seen Hogan in it's like he's a different wrestler. Stiffer, faster, and he does more technical mat wrestling (see Hogan vs. Akira Maeda).

  • No, this was a WWF/AJPW summit.

  • Damn, Hogan can dish it out! I dont care what people say about him. He love/d the business, at least back here, and he put a LOT of effort in. And he wasnt as bad as some people...

  • Axe Bomber >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Leg Drop

  • Axe Bomber!!!!

  • ハンセンはアンドレと同格であり、ホーガンやベイダーの先輩にあたる偉大な男

  • This looks like it was one hell of a card.

  • すごい試合。でも、血液感染とかもこわいね。

  • King Kong vs Godzilla indeed

  • Axe BOMB-AAHH beats Lariat!

  • Former NJPW tag team partners getting it on. Would have loved to have seen Hogan vs. Bruiser Brody, but it never happened.

  • Very solid match up this one. Physical shit from start to finish.

  • Stan Hansen is Stiffarific

  • that was an amazing match for the Hulkster. I wish he had wrestled more in America, it would have made the WWF watchable

    stiff clothesline

  • Western Lariat > Clothesline From Hell

  • no leg drop...

  • Fuck him up Hogan!

that hansen guy is a dangerous fucker, hes nearly blind so he cant really pull his punches or especially his LARIAT..

  • Stan The Lariet Hanson was and still is the man.

  • How was Hogan able to wrestle in Japan while being in a contract with WWF

  • This is WWF. They we're in the Tokyo Dome...They used to be in partnership with NJPW.

  • weren't they partnered with All Japan? Stan Hansen, Giant Baba, Tiger Mask II were AJPW guys

  • Well it was alot different then. It wasn't a surprise to see WWF work with Japan promotions.

  • Damn Stan is a mean S.O.B. lol

  • Its funny people will say "gee hogan got to wrestle more in japan," But damn they certainly brawled too!

  • This is the same Hanson who gave Bruno a good beating and he is still around to bang up Hogan. WOW, what a tough man.

  • Fake or not, that stuff has to HURT! It's a miracle any of these guys can still walk and talk. I'll keep my 9 to 5, thank you very much.

  • Hogan started using the Ax Bomber Lariat because he felt how powerful it was from Hansen.

  • Hogan did ons of Lariets and tons of move sin Japan, damn smarks you see what WWF had Hogan do and you assume he had no skill.

  • Stan is the true legend in this match.

  • Wow that's the closest thing to a lariat I think I've ever seen Hogan throw

  • What a cheap victory for Hogan. I think he will never face Stan Hansen again!

  • What a match!!!

  • I agree, I remember when he was booked against unpopular wrestlers none was able to pick him up up until he wrestled Cowboy Bob Orton

  • It's a shame Hogan never had matchs like this when was WWF Champ in the 80's. Vince wanted to maintain that cartoon image, so we never saw Hogan do anything beyond punch, body slam and leg drop.

  • Hansen was just a mean ol sum bitch. Did you see him swing at the lady in the crowd at 1:46

  • how ironic just 2 weeks earlier hogan had been pinned after missing the legdrop against warrior this time he kicks out after the pin attempt.

  • Stan Hansen was God in Japan and was so damn good he made Hulk Hogan perform making a great match. Vince wouldnt of had the balls to make this match

  • I'm pretty sure Vince DID have the balls to make this match. Notice all of the WWF logos all over the ring. Not to mention that Earl Hebner is the referee.

  • Im not explaining myself to well. This was what was known as a collliseum video exclusive back in the day. Makikng it genuinly a lost treasured match. The fact that it took place at the Tokyo Dome in Japan in 1989 and not in America our Europe is because if Stan decided to shoot on Hogan and not sell his moves and turn Hogan heel not that many people in the western world would of seen it leaving Hogan still number1 babyface

  • The W.W.E. tried to lure Hansen, but he declined due to his commitments in Japan.

  • If Hansen had been in the WWE at anytime in his prime he would of been the WWE Heel to beat all heals. Theres never been no one quite like Hansen. If u look at Austin, Bradshaw even Demolition they all tried to emulate his style in some way.

  • At 1:12 , check out the Lariat throwing the chair at Earl Hebner.
