@henryd1981 - it really was, but now after doing it once, the process would probably be much simpler in the future. By the way, I don't think the lemon juice was supposed to be part of the sauce - it was just for keeping the bananas from browning... oops ;)
@salemsaunders - I love doing these. You should check out my chilli (blog #21) and cake (blog #42) videos if you haven't seen them already. Glad you you enjoyed :)
Nice kitchen, nice assistant...!!!...do you think you are now ready to try out for the tv show "America's next top chef"?? (with a Canadian twist)....with your "cooking skills"...i take it you must eat out alot...:)......
@deepwoodguy2 - I'd love to be a part of a show like that! I probably would be the worst contestant, but it would be so much fun. I usually don't cook - I just heat pre-made foods in the microwave mostly ;)
Sweet potatoe crunch, large can of yams beaten egg cup of suger some flour pecans IDK the whole thing but it turned out very well. The other was a corn bread dressing that required making a reaux etc it was good too. You have got to go to some yard sales and get yourself some cooking stuff you can ourfit your kitchen for $50 no sweat things I use regularly salid spinner ceramic knife large bowls non stick frypan pressure cookr griddle save the large ice cream containrs fill with salid.

Margarine? Paula Deen would be disappointed! But this recipe seems very complicated, lol.

Coming from the South, I can attest that you can't go wrong with brown sugar. Try sprinkling it on bacon as it's cooking.

@dafttool - Mmm... that does sound good! Now I'm salivating thinking of how grilled bacon would've been like in the recipe instead of the pecans ;)
