spijtig ,in deze film zegt de presentator niet hoe het anders kan,zo vele mensen voeden zich ,al dan niet uit noodzaak met varkens vlees,ander vlees,waarvan de dieren soms ,dikwijls in minder prettige omstandigheden leven,waarom start Gaia niet zelf een boerderij,met voorbeelden hoe het wel kan ,om massa vlees te produceren,moeten ze niet van subsidies leven,bekijk het filmpje van Anthony Bourdin,ganzen voederen,hoe Gaia er toch wel naast zit op dat gebied!ben gn voorstander van dierenmisbruik!

Do you eat pig meat? This is the reality I have seen this. Are you all stupid if you eat meat this is what you get. The pigs suffer and ik can now, i have writen a report over it. But the tails have to be cut of because otherwise other pigs wil bite on it beceause of bordom, and than there is going to be canabalism. But the castration is not good, there is no reason to do that because you can use immunoneutralisation. When this procedure is used the pigs won't get testikels

Probably not. That's why their teeth and tails are cut.

About castration did you know that male piglets often ten to be cryptorch? It results in meat that when being cooked releases a musk like odour. I doubt you want that on your plate.

And why no anesthetics? 1 its expensive and 2 only veterinarians are allowed to use those so more expenses.

okay so whit that al said and done it doesn't mean i am saying it is the proper way of doing it but the piglet only suffers for less then a minute in the hands of a skilled pig farmer.

Alternative husbandry such as as organic also castrate pigs without anesthetics. And cutting the teeth is NOT at all the same as cutting your hair. Be serious. If not there would not be a legislation about it regulating.

They clip the teeth to prevent the other piglets from biting and eventually killing the smaller less dominant piglets.

It does not hurt the piglets, it is the same as cutting your hair.

Castration is necesary to prevent the meat from being tainted by the excess testosterone.

If you don´t like it, don´t buy it. Support alternative methods of husbandry (such as organic) and ask your supermarket if the pork you buy is from castrated pigs. Non-castration is a viable option!!

the porkers are castrated as entire pigs (boars) will supposedly produce tainted meat. This practice is rightly prohibited in the UK however.
