@AngelicWings5 I think I read somewhere part of it was because they'd been dropped from the Warner Bros label. Going on the Voice would have given the band the publicity needed to find another label. But I'm not 100% sure. :)

Even though Dia and Juliet have had success, the general public still are don't know much about them, so the Voice serves as a bigger platform for them to expand their careers.

How many famous people have HUGE voices? You can't confuse a big singing voice with ALL it takes to be famous. :-)

This is actually what bothers me about shows like this in general. Think of really legendary musicians - Hendrix, Dylan, John Lennon, Elvis, Willie Nelson (and Johnny Cash, for that matter), Michael Jackson (post-puberty). I don't think any of them could have survived the first episode of shows like this. Sure, some would do fine - Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey, and Freddie Mercury come to mind, but these shows miss a big part of what makes a legend in favor of flash.

Christina sounded retarted during the post song critique because she knew Dia and Javier had more complete control over their respective ranges then her team members. She may have sound retarded but she is not dumb. The thoughts that were going through Christina's head were traveling a lot faster then the actual words that came out of her mouth. Christina knew Dia and Javier were stronger then anyone remaining on her team. But I will say the Top 8, all good singers wish them well.

Christina sounded retarted during the post song critique because she knew Dia and Javier had more complete control over their respective ranges then her team members. She may have sound retarded but she is not dumb. The thoughts that were going through Christina's head were traveling a lot faster then the actual words that came out of her mouth. Christina knew Dia and Javier were stronger then anyone remaining on her team. But I will say the Top 8, all good singers wish them well.
