I've had steering problems. Goes to the right very easily, but very poorly to the left.

These can fly so much better when you remove the plastic fin on the tail. Use lighter gas and peel off carefully. They will turn better, climb better and it will eliminate the annoying up and down bobbing you see in this video. We got ours up to 100' easily ( in about 15 sec)
It should be the only mod necessary. You WILL need to trim for either left or right turn balance aftervward. Just use the little mylex sticker they came with and follw the instruction sheet.

How come yours in this video climbs so high so fast? Mine tends to keep sort if 'bobbing' up and down as it flies.
My only real complaint about the vamp is that there is no option to charge with an ac power pack from the wall....you have to use batteries. :(

Yes i am a bit of an Ornithopter hobbyist amongst other things.
I'm working on a small 4 gram RC Ornithopter at the moment but i will definately be purchasing some of the "i-Fly VAMPS"
Do you know if and when they will be available in Australia?
